The shipping situation sucks man. Maybe you just have a bad image. Burning images is pretty straight forward for the most part.

I do not know what GC launcher is , I am using Softmii on the Wii:
http://softmii.org/
Every one praised it saying it works and no chips needed. Indeed it did, I picked a couple of games to check if it works out of black market I guess. They worked. I never tested backup gc games.

I did img burning before for the Dreamcast, it worked fine using Disc Juggler . Never did a DVD one.
I will continue to experiment.

Softmii doesn't boot gamecube games natively (although not 100% true, some games work some don't, the success rate is very low though, it would take me several attempts to get a backup GC game to boot with the disc channel) I just use wiigater backup launcher in .wad form (so that it appears as it's own channel next to the disc channel).

There's plenty of custom channels here. Just download whichever one takes your fancy. Then load your GC backup with this.

As for the burning issue, I never had a problem with burning games on my mac, I just used Toast Titanium 9, selected copy from the top left buttons, then chose image file, then dragged the iso into the window, put a DVD in and pressed the big red burn button on the bottom right.

It burned it without a hitch. I just popped it in my Wii, it recognised it as a GC game in the Disc channel (comes up with the GC logo after it has read the disc) I then use wiigater backup launcher channel to load the GC game and that's it. Easy as pie.
