I finally modded my Saturn successfully. I am posting this because I know when I was doing research on the procedure I came across way too many failures and I was way too worried it would never work if people had all these problems. Here is a boost of confidence for you. It is a model 2 64-pin, racketboy's chip worked, and the a+b bridge worked as well. Played a buttload of Radiant Silvergun earlier tonight. Excellent...

Did you, by any chance take a few pictures? I got a 64 pin lying around somewhere

i didn't take any pics. the pictures on this site http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Raluminat/saturnmod.html were most sufficient.
