Need help. Which is the better sonic game on the wii.

my baby cousins love sonic ever since they played it on my wii (virtual console sonic 2 and 3 for the mega drive) so since last year I also bought them a wii I was thinking of buying them a sonic game for their wii. There are 3 out. Which one do you consider the best?

Yeah I know they all suck, but remember we are talking about 8 and 6 year olds here, they liked ratatoue (however that thing is spelled) and they consider making miis as playing on their wii.

so any suggestions?

The only Wii Sonic I've heard anything good about was Sonic and the Secret Rings. I must say that you should protect your younger cousins from that garbage. They're impressionable at that young age. They might think those games are good.

I had Sonic and the Secret Rings and I must say it sucked. Try the virtual console Sonics, your baby cousins will thank you someday.

Yeah, the lesser of those three evils is Secret Rings, but you'd definitely be better off getting something from the Virtual Console.

Too bad they never released Sonic Mega Genesis Collection to the Wii, as it is quite a bargain compared to buying all of those titles off the Virtual Console.

Also, from what I heard, Sega Superstar Tennis is surprisingly not a bad game. I can't vouch for it personally, but a few people I hold in high regard consider it their guilty pleasure.

Yes, that is an awesome collection. Wavebird + Sonic Gems is a much better value than any Sonic Wii game. I am biased though - I genuinely loved those Game Gear games, especially Tails Adventure, Sonic Drift 2 and Sonic Triple Trouble. Those games made me more than happy as a kid to be a Game Gear fan first and a Game Boy fan second.

There were certainly a lot of good sonic games re-released on Gamecube; also Sonic Heroes, one of the newer games, wasn't bad at all. I recommend these for a Wii-compatible Sonic Collection:

Gamecube:
Sonic Mega Collection
Sonic Gems Collection
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes

Wii:
Sonic and the Secret Rings

I can't, in good conscience, recommend any of the Sonic wii games. But I agree that getting Mega or Gems collection would be a great idea.

Actually, I was able to find Sonic Mega Collection for the Gamecube for $5. I definitely think the collections would be significantly cheaper. Also, I agree that there is no good Sonic game released this generation [Except Sonic Rush], but Sonic and the Secret Rings is your best hope for a Sonic game on the Wii.
