Whoa! Steam is going crazy with all the deals this weekend!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

If you need a quick test to see if your computer can likely play any of these games, I recommend this website (though it's not a guarantee):

For the older stuff I imagine a physical copy would be about the same price if not cheaper, but I don't really play much on PC.

Be warned. Splinter Cell 1 and 2 have speed issues on modern systems, and the solutions don't seem to work for everyone. I cant remember if it was caused by dual core processors or using Windows Vista. Also, SC Double Agent is quite a buggy mess as well, and its the only one I didnt finish on PC. I just gave up on it, mostly because the sound effects would mute after 20 minutes of play permanently. SC3 Chaos Theory is perfection, but its not on sale here.

Assassin's Creed at $10...that's still kinda pricey. It's really just a tech demo and not a real game. If you go in expecting any kind of experience, you'll be horribly let down by the end.

The casual stuff I'm clueless about.

Buy the Unreal deal. Everyone. Now. Don't argue me.

I actually kinda liked it, but the ending was shite though.

Haha, I'm typing this at work and some guys across the street are trying to load an old car onto a trailer and the ramps fell out from under it. The car is just sitting there half on the trailer with its arse hanging in the air and a bunch of hillbillies walking around it scratching thier heads trying to figure out what to do next. One guy is still stuck in the car because he can't get the door open, nope scrath that he just jumped out of the window and fell on his face  classic.

A buddy of mine pointed me to the Freedom Force games a few years ago. As a fan of comics, they really did a great job of capturing the feel of the older books. Absolutely hilarious origin stories.
