The sad thing is, I know people would buy a Halo trivia game.

Also, I kinda expect some announcement about somebody picking up Duke Nukem Forever. Just saying, you know?

I just want them to either confirm that Vesperia PS3 will get localized or a firm denial that it will get localized. I've got Tales of Vesperia for 360 sitting on my shelf and now I can't start it since I don't know if the better PS3 version will be coming here or not.

The whole thing about Sega getting back into the console wars is getting me excited... why ELSE would they issue a controller patent??

Huh? to make another crappy Wiimote accessory? NO.

Okay, deep breaths..... Now. Sega, please come back? Don't betray your developers this time, and everything will be A-Okay!

Sony will announce a pricecut . . . for the PS2. It will go down to 89.99.
Sony will announce that the ps3 is not selling well enough to make them money, so they will release a new version for $9,999 that includes new outfits for your Home character.

Microsoft will announce the M$ii Mote. A completely revolutionary addon that uses advanced accelerometer and gyroscopic chips. It will be supported by three games: Banjo Kazooie: Buildin' a Log Cabin, Halo Trivia Party, and Mr. Potatohead's Pencil Sharpener Extravaganza (available in separate downloads of $29.99 each.)

Nintendo will announce that they're working on entirely new experiences such as Wii Music 2, Wii Fit 2, and Kid Icarus Conducts a Symphony.

Nintendo will announce the DSj, a brand new upgrade to the Nintendo DS that includes all the features of the DS and DSi except it's not compatible with DS or DSi games and it has 17 built in microphones.
Hahahaha! Nice post Jrecee.

Could be a controller for the Wii virtual console...Just a hunch. Or heck, could be for the PS3 and 360. SNK just did it for the PS3 and Wii.

Or it could be a project that just never materialized. The patent was supposedly filed in 2005. Sorry to rain on everyone's Sega parade. I'd love to see them rise from the ashes, but they can't afford to completely mismanage yet another generation here in the states.

MIDDLE EAST'S LARGEST SEGA REPUBLIC TO OPEN AT THE DUBAI MALL

05/23/09 - An exciting array of theme park adventures awaits families at The Dubai Mall.

The largest-ever Sega Republic in the Middle East region will open at the mall shortly. A high-adrenaline ride, adventure and gaming zone, Sega Republic is developed in association with Japan-based Sega Corporation, one of the global leaders in hi-tech entertainment.

Finishing work on Sega Republic, the newest leisure attraction at the mall, is currently progressing for opening this summer, for which The Dubai Mall has set apart 76,000 sq ft across two levels. An indoor roller-coaster, thrilling rides and motion simulators, many of which are bespoke attractions for Dubai, are the highlight of Sega Republic, which will appeal to all members of the family.

Mr Nasser Rafi, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Malls Group, said:

'As the world's largest family shopping and entertainment destination, The Dubai Mall is continuously adding to its retail and leisure portfolio. The opening of Sega Republic, the largest indoor theme park of its kind in the Middle East region, will complement the successful leisure attractions of the mall such as Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice Rink and The Waterfall.'

He added: 'In the coming months, even as more retail outlets open, the mall will unveil newer leisure concepts such as KidZania, a unique edu-tainment concept for children and Reel Cinemas, the 22-screen cineplex. Leisure components are a strong draw for families and, in turn, further support retail sales.'

Sega Republic will feature numerous key attractions including Spin Gear, Halfpipe Canyon, Sonic Hopper, Initial D4 Limited, Storm-G and Outrun2 SP. With most of the major attractions being based on skill levels, visitors are guaranteed that no two rides are ever the same, providing a unique experience every time. While the bespoke roller-coaster, Spin Gear, is set to become a rage among families, Halfpipe Canyon, a snow/skateboarding simulator that has gained a phenomenal following at Sega's Joypolis theme park in Japan, is also keenly awaited by theme park enthusiasts in the region. 'Drifting' fans can now experience the thrill of Initial D4 Limited and Sonic Hopper, the 9-metre drop tower that provides a breath-taking ride. Visitors can also enjoy up to 250 amusement games, a climbing wall and a host of food and beverage options at Sega Republic.

Mr Suresh Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Retail LLC, explained: 'Most of the attractions in Sega Republic will be a first-time experience for visitors to the mall and in the region. The selection of rides, roller-coaster, motion ride simulators and games in this all-season indoor theme park, have been made to meet the demands of the fun-loving young population of the region as well as families. Safety aspects are given the highest priority, and Sega Republic will have a dedicated team of professionals on hand to assist visitors.'

He added: 'A judicious leisure mix is one of the biggest attractions of shopping malls today. The Dubai Mall is setting the trend in the region and globally too, with unprecedented leisure concepts which have all been well-received. The indoor environment of Sega Republic has also been specially developed for the varying rides, keeping the convenience of visitors in mind.'

KidZania, another leisure concept in the mall to open this year, is a novel concept that introduces children to a scaled-down version of a city in which they can experience the ultimate in role-playing. They can choose from over 70 preferred 'roles' and be provided with costumes and other accessories for the complete real-life like experience. Reel Cinemas, the 22-screen cineplex due to open this summer, the largest in the city, will house up to 2,800 seats. Over 900 retailers have already opened at The Dubai Mall and the remaining 300 will open in the next three months. Several of these are flagship stores or mark the Middle East launch of global brands.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE DETAILS ON SEGA'S NEXT RYU GA GOTOKU (YAKUZA)

05/16/09 - We can officially confirm in this world exclusive that the next title in the Ryu Ga Gotoku franchise which Toshihiro Nagoshi briefly talked about in a recent interview in Japanese Famitsu magazine shall be SEGA's version of Grand Theft Auto. Like Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! before it, the game shall be part of the franchise however not part of the main series.

Executives at SEGA were worried that Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc would develop a GTA4:Tokyo which would affect the sales potential of future titles in SEGA's established i.p.

Nagoshi-san has already stated that the game will be a more 3D experience. Whereas the previous games weren't truly sandbox, leaning more towards Shenmue than GTA, this spinoff title will allow total freedom at the expense of an in depth story and drama that fans of the main series are accustomed to.

Unlike Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! and Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 this particular title shall see a worldwide release accompanied by a hefty marketing push from both SEGA of America and SEGA Europe.

PART 2 OF WORLD EXCLUSIVE REPORT CANCELLED

05/15/09 - This morning FGNOnline received a rather strongly worded letter from SEGA SAMMY's legal department about our inside report on the company's hardware future.

FGNOnline was threatened to not upload Part 2 of our report or face legal consequences.

We have been left with no other option but to comply.

Mr Morris had personally invested many months of his life towards uncovering the details found in Part 2 and was currently in the midst of editing the report.

We hope our audience would accept our sincerest apologies.
