Will someone look at this cue sheet for me? (Saturn)

Post by alexkidd »

Here is the cue sheet I'm trying to burn:

FILE "track 01.iso" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2048
INDEX 01 00:00:00
POSTGAP 00:02:00
FILE "track 02.mp3" MP3
TRACK 02 AUDIO
PREGAP 00:02:00
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 03.mp3" MP3
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 04.mp3" MP3
TRACK 04 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 05.mp3" MP3
TRACK 05 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 06.mp3" MP3
TRACK 06 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 07.mp3" MP3
TRACK 07 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 08.mp3" MP3
TRACK 08 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 09.mp3" MP3
TRACK 09 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 10.mp3" MP3
TRACK 10 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 11.mp3" MP3
TRACK 11 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "track 12.mp3" MP3
TRACK 12 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Nero gives me this message every time I try to burn any Cue sheet for ISO/MP3:

An error occured while loading the Cue sheet file
'C:/Documents and Settings\desktop\House of the Dead/HOUSEDEAD.cue'.
(Line 1)

I tried the cue that was included, and then made my own Cue with Sega Cue Maker and the message was the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think ive gotten that before. Try burning it with Alcohol 120% instead. Usually works fine for me

Hope this helps

sorry if I'm tech illiterate but...

I checked the file names so they matched. What exactly are paths?
If I'm using Nero does it automatically convert the MP3 to .wav or do I need to change a setting? Also if the cue sheet reads all .wav extensions and the files are .mp3 extenstions does that work?

Thanks, I had a friend who helped me burn all my games who moved to Taiwan so I'm kind of starting from scratch after a few years of playing w/ the modded Saturn.

Well the error says it is on "line 1"

So there is a problem with:

FILE "track 01.iso" BINARY

Is the cue sheet in the SAME directory as all the audio files and image?
Is the image an .iso?
Is the name of the image: track 01.iso ?

----
Yes Nero will convert the mp3 to wav because the cue sheet tells it to. Note that the file is denoted as an mp3, but its sector is noted as TRACK ## AUDIO. AUDIO means it will be recorded as .cda ... which is cd audio (raw audio very VERY similar to WAV... only difference is the inclusion of CD audio error correction, and a lack of a file system for the CD in those sectors).

----

Path is the directory... notice the 'C:/Documents and Settings\desktop\House of the Dead/HOUSEDEAD.cue' part? That is the directory path! If all the files are not in the same folder/directory then that cue sheet won't work.

thanks for the info.
I remember all the files were in the same directory. I'll have to check out the rest later at home.

hmm, try chaning the "MP3" word to "wave"

FILE "track 02.mp3" MP3

to

FILE "track 02.mp3" WAVE

i burned draculax earlier. was iso/mp3. but the cue file had the audio labeled as "wave" not "mp3". the tracks were labeled as .wav but the actual tracks i had were .mp3's. anyways, the "WAVE" thing worked for me.

But RISK, the error is with "Line 1"

Line 1 has nothing to do with audio files... he should first solve the problem with line 1 first, then if there is any further problems on other lines then he should take a look at the audio files (which at the moment as long as the real files are mp3's there shouldn't be anything wrong...) His big problem has to do with the directory as the error states the innability to find said directory.

doh! thats right. hmm, i think its nero itself. nero does not burn iso/cue files like that. i think its a design flaw in it. its made to pick up bin/cue for cds and iso for dvd. i suggest mounting the cue file with daemon tools and reripping the image using cdrwin or something similar as bin/cue. then loading that back up with nero. should work 100%

It seems that Nero parses the cue sheets differently to Alcohol *

I think this will work with Nero

Change this

Code: Select all

FILE "track 01.iso" BINARY
to

Code: Select all

FILE "track01.iso" BINARY

rename the iso file without the space also
