I'm hoping for at least one good in depth wii game that isn't kid friendly at all. There have been some good wii games, but most either have a kid element to them or are very shallow. Madworld was a nice try, but it is just a brawler. House of the dead games are fun, but light gun games. The blob is cool- but super simple and very kid friendly. Okami was neat, but it is just a port. All of these games, although fun don't have a lot of depth imho.
I'm hoping for something more along the lines of the witcher. Some kind of RPG that uses the point/click interface that the wii is great for. Seriously- the witcher is 2 mouse button game with a third if you want to move the camera, and it is a fantastic. Why can't we have something like that on the wii? I may be asking too much to get a western RPG on a very Japanese console though.
Also i'm hoping for a fun shooter on the wii. I know the conduit is coming out, but all the concept design just looks awful in that game. (am i alone in this? i fell like i am. Everyone seems to be in love with this game) I want something along the lines of RE5 or Dead Space. Unlocks a plenty with some cool shooting mechanics all in a nice slick package.
But mostly- i just want to be pleasantly surprised. Last year it seems like everyone was talking about stuff that had leaked or had press releases well in advance of e3. Kinda bummed out the convention coverage.
