I've had a copy of Alien Soldier (PAL) for some years now, am in North America and use NA Genesis' (versions one and two), but have never been able to play it here. I've tried the Game Genie codes with no success. Has anyone had this same problem? I should get a region converter, but I never happen onto one. Any recommendations on where to aquire one?
Sidenote: I also have a PAL Mega Drive, but neither of my teles recognise a PAL signal. I grabbed one of the those cheap PAL-to-NTSC converter boxes but this didn't work. I once heard that one needs two (?) of these linked together to work. Again, anyone have any insight?
Alien Soldier PAL/PAL Mega Drive in NA
Re: Alien Soldier PAL/PAL Mega Drive in NA
as I dont really know anything about region converters and such, the only advice I can give you would be to hard mod your genny with a 50/60Hz switch. Its really a very simple mod if you're comfortable with soldering and dont mind cutting a hole in the case of you genesis. here's a link if you're interested http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/md1switches.htmreagan wrote:I've had a copy of Alien Soldier (PAL) for some years now, am in North America and use NA Genesis' (versions one and two), but have never been able to play it here.
