I was reading IGN's reveiw of killer7 today and it stated that the game doesnt support progressive scan mode - but if I play it on the wii thru the component cables will there be any difference?
Also, I am to assume that all GC games are 4:3 and to switch the tv to that ratio when playing GC games?
Thanks
Wii Gamecube mode video question
Re: Wii Gamecube mode video question
If the game doesn't support 480p mode then it won't support it on Wii either.
Not all games are in 4:3 and if they have a widescreen support then they'll have widescreen support on the Wii.

Yeah thats kinda what I thought but I wasnt sure as last gen was a transisitional period into 16:9 so it could have been either. So unless the box/options say otherwise its 4:3.
Cool - I hate playing games and watching TV in there wrong AR.

Re: Wii Gamecube mode video question
This site has lists of 16:9 and 480p games from last gen. There's even a few Saturn games that support widescreen! Don't know if it's complete though.

If you have GCOS, you can force many games to run in progressive mode on your cube as well.
