Punch-Out!!

Post by MrPopo »

So anyone else been playing this yet? This game takes me back to a simpler time, when hilarious racial caricitures were the norm and you weren't supposed to be able to beat a video game. I finally got to the Title Defense mode, and then proceeded to get my ass handed to me several times by Glass Joe.

I've actually heard rave reviews about this game. What's so bad about it?

It really lacks the polish that Fight Night 3 had and Fight Night 4 will almost certainly have. Its had to explain but play it and you will know what I mean. Its not so much the gameplay its mainly the menus and lack of music in key areas of the game. And the loading times suck as well. I might give it a little more time but I think Punch Out would have been fun right out of the box.

Rented it today. It's got to be one of the best games on the Wii right now. I did the whole KO Von Kaiser in 5 punches thing- it made me laugh. I also did the challenge where you have to purposly lose to Glass Joe. It's really fun, and I love the characters' animations.

Bionic Command Rearmed (the remake) just recently went down to $5.00 bucks on PSN to help get people excited about the new 3D bionic commando. I'm hoping that the PC version will drop in price too, so I can play it.

So far I think the game is pretty awesome! Trying to balance playing it and Deception 2.
