Screw Sprint and the man who created them

Post by lordofduct »

So for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to call sprint and get a yes or no answer if they can write me a letter of credit stating I am a customer in good standing so that I can use it to get my damn home loan.

Never once could they give me a strait answer and instead decided to transfer me back and forth to different departments and refused to let me talk to a supervisor. Today my mortgage broker contacted them and they hung up on him as he wasn't me... immediately they proceeded to call me.

The supervisor began to basically chew me out for calling them so much about a matter they already answered me about. I explained I never got an answer and they only threw me from dept to dept. He explained there is no department that deals with that and proceeded to chew me out some more. I asked them 'why' they couldn't, he gives me an excuse and continues to chew me out. I stop him and proclaimed (yes I was angry as well now) this is no way for customer service to treat their customers. Chewing them out and all.

So I'm cancelling my contract with them. I've been a sprint user for 5 years now and would have stayed with them if it wasn't for this bullshit.

So what cellphone carriers out there are good? My brother who has used just about every cellphone company says I should go with cingular. What do you guys think?

Oh... the things I'm looking for.

I need a family plan that can entail myself in Florida and my mother in Connecticut. (cingular already told me they can't do that, they must be in the same area code)
I need around 700-900 minutes for the each of us (1500 total in a family plan would be sufficient)
and a good text messaging package

I'd also like a good data plan (which sucks as I really like sprints data plan, its freakin' CHEAP! Cingular is almost 4 times the price for theirs.)

While no carrier is perfect, I've been using T-Mobile for a couple years and they have been ok.
On occasion I've gotten incompetent people, but I also have had some great people on the customer support line and have always had any reasonable request taken care of with courtesy

I've been using Cingular, but obviously you can't use them considering the whole zip code thing.
I've head good things about these guys and they have unlimited everything for 50 bucks a month.
