Playstation 2 Online Games

Just a thought, are there any online PS2 games worth playing. I bought Phantasy Star Universe cause I thought you could play it for free online (got it confused with PS III). So I got really excited about playing my Playstation online and now I'm looking for any online games that are worth it.

Any suggestions, or is the PS2 a dead horse in terms of online play?

I played a lot of MOH Rising Sun when it was new, haven't been on for years though. There's probably a few rooms open, but probably not nearly as many as some years back. The only other PS2 game I played a lot online was Goldeneye. I'm not really much for online playing.

I know all the EA game had private owned servers, which are all shut down now, but I'm pretty sure the SOCOM games are still active.

I believe that most if not all of the PS2 Online games have shut down their servers... I can't think of any at the moment..

SOCOM is great and still worth playing.

online consoles has a lists of active ps2, dreamcast, and gamecube games. Not only that, but also the few that you can play over a lan. Pretty great resource.
