Looking for cheesy Saturn FMV games.

Post by NathanBarnatt »

I love the cheesy FMV games with lots of movies. I have Ground Zero Texas, Dbl Switch and Night Trap on Sega CD. I'm looking for some good cheesy ones for Saturn. Know of Any? What was that Rampo game? Can you get that in a translated US version?

Also how do I know if I can play Japan Imports o my saturn

You'll be able to tell if you can play jap games on your saturn by the presence of either an action replay sticking out of the cart slot or some conspicous dip switches sticking out of the case somewhere.

I used to have Torico, which I thought was pretty cool at the time. Its a Myst style point and click with loads of lengthy FMV - although its all CGI which I'm not sure is what you are looking for.

I also remember a similar sort of game starring Tim Curry as Frankenstien. Tim Curry was real film footage while the rest of the game was CGI as I remember. There is also a version of corpse killer which looks pretty cheesy. i'm not aware of too many FMV games on the saturn, I think people had decided it wasnt such a good idea by then. I disagree, I love the hammy acting and blurry footage.

cheesy FMV games are the equivalent of b-movies in the videogames world?
