Re: Sega Did what Nintendidn't
There is nothing silly about coveting thy neighbor's Saturn. I too was a loyal soldier in the Sega Army, I enlisted after my and my NES my fellow NES owning buddy went over to our other friends house to laugh at her brand new Sega Master System...and well we really couldn't as far as my 8 year old eyes could tell the master System graphics were superior. I never got a MS myself, but I had made sure I had a launch day Genesis, I was loyal to the end. I supported everything...the Sega CD, the 32X, the beautiful Saturn and Dreamcast...The Sega Army is much like the Browncoats in Firefly/Serenity...we may have lost, but damn it we fought to the end and have nothing to be ashamed of....

now grown up I realize the Super Nintendo is far superior IMO but as a kid I had the genesis and you couldn't tell me it wasen't better. I mean Sonic 3 and Knuckles was as revolutionary as it gets. I finally finished my genesis collection now as a video game collector and I should have known better since my completed genesis collection is only 5 games deep.

I loved plugging shit into other shit that hooks up to other shit! SEGA RULED! Super Nintendo was a great system but it can not touch the awesomeness of Genesis.

LMAO
Forget "Sega Does What Nintendon't" they should have went "Sega: We Plug Shit into Other Shit" best add campaign ever.
Yeah looking back, there is no denying SNES is superior, but Genesis was still the BOMB!

Both have their strong points... But when it comes to shooters, the Genesis kicks so much SNES ass. Only good shooter without massive slowdown on SNES was R-Type III. It's poor 3.58 MHz processor had nothing on the Sega's revolutionary BLAST PROCESSING! lol

He said his "complete" Genesis collection, as a game "collector," has only five games. In other words, he has no credibility.

Well in my opinion snes is a superior(and I don't play shooters sorry) so I respect your opinion saying gen is better.chipperkwah wrote:WTF! SNES? and what i meant about my genesis collection is complete... I only collect games I'm gonna play and aside from the 5 games I own I don't want any other so my(emphasize MY) genesis collection is complete. I don't make enough money to own a complete library although I do own way more games for other systems. Plus my sneaker collection demands more cash.
Re: Sega Did what Nintendidn't
I had both systems, lucky me. Always hated console wars, each system had great games and both strengths and weaknesses. I always found it pathetic to see people try to project their awesomeness through their favorite console. While smashing other peoples console of choice.

I'm sure Racketboy is the wrong place to admit all this, but...
I had NES, SNES, Gameboy, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Game Gear, and TG16 all when they came out back then.
and I'm a Nintendo Fanboy.
