Name this shooter from the 80's

-game came out in 1987, 1988 or 1989
-at the beginning of each level it featured a short synthesized speech voice
-it was a vertical shooter
-it had some type of power/level up system
-it came out in the arcade

I've just played through everything I could find (mostly Mame) but failed.

Well, that certainly narrows it down to about 100,000. Any other details, like region, ship colors, boss and level descriptions. Not to be a ass but, kinda vague on the details.

If you can answer a couple questions it may help:
Where does it take place? earth, space, the planet xaxon perhaps..

What type of ship? helicopter, fighter jet, futuristic space ship, insect, manga dude/dudette


If you can't remember I'd try looking through the archieves on shmups.com, cause thats extremely vauge.

the most important thing is that it had speech which was uncommon for that time.
