The countdown clock's up, and either a 5 or S flashes intermittently every few seconds.

I noticed that last night. I let the page play in the background for about an hour. It's oddly hypnotic like a rain machine. Pretty sure it's a 5. Metal Gear Solid 5... ooooOOooooOooooOOOOooooo.....

Re: Whats up with Kojima's new game?
Everybody says they want MGS5. Seriously, though, what can they possibly do? MGS4 rapped up everything. All the antagonists - and large portion of the protagonists - are dead. It's over.
The only way they could do another MGS would be yet another prequel, and we saw how well that worked with Star Wars. (Spoilers: It didn't.)
The only thing I'd like to see done with MGS at this point is MGS4:Supersistance (or some name to that effect), which I'd also hope would contain the original MGS in MGS4 fashion, a la Twin Snakes. (I'd be super easy - they re-created almost every location from MGS already.)

Re: Whats up with Kojima's new game?
I hope it isn't gonna be MGS5. Kojima is capable of making great games but so far I've seen his most effort go into the MGS series. I want to see what he can do with a different game series. Possibly in the RPG or adventure game genres, since in both of those genres the story is an important factor. Hideo Kojima would fit in perfectly.the7k wrote:Everybody says they want MGS5. I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

I'm replaying pt4 currently and at the end of chapter 3 in the mission briefing, Raiden says a lot of things about the day he was born. It was raining, cloudy and the lighting was bad. There was more, but I was too tired to remember. Just something I picked up last night at 3am.

Could be a Raiden "origins" story line. OoooooOOoooOoooooooo.....
Re: Whats up with Kojima's new game?
Come on new adventure game.
Re: Whats up with Kojima's new game?
With MGS4 selling nearly 5 million copies don't rule out more sequels just yet. As for the backdrop it hardly seems he has a cyberpunk adventure game in mind. I reckon however that most speculators will be quite disappointed.

I'm really hoping it's something fresh, theyre trying to be all mysterious about this and then they flash a big "5" u there that just seems too obvious to be hinting towards Metal Gear 5.
