Sonic 1 (Genesis) Beta/Test Cartridge???

I recently found a Sonic 1 Genesis cart. The product code is: 670-1469-22. This game states "Genesis". The label art is a variant of the PAL version. This cart is the weirdiest I have EVER found. Anyone with concrete info please let me know. Thank you to everyone for your help. Yup, Canadian. They had to use the Genesis name to market it in North America but for whatever reason chose to use the Euro artwork.

yes this is the canadian version. i have a CIB copy and the manual is in english and french

So, what's the rarity and value??? Also, where can I get the case for it??? I have searched the net for 4 months trying to find anything about this and this site (your support) have been able to finally identify it for me. Thanks everyone !

It's not at all rare, in Canada anyway. It should run pretty cheap.

These are pretty plentiful if you check ebay.ca the odd seller might even have just box and manual.
