Yeah, i've had them get my order to me in as little as 2 weeks, then the next order took about a month. I guess a lot of it depends of supply/going through customs.

You can get an acekard for only not a whole lot more and it's a much better flash card, micro sds are dirt cheap on ebay. Really if anyone's that hard up for cash I'd just save it for important stuff and buy an acekard when you've saved anther $10.

I think the customs guys are used to seeing mail for me coming from Hong Kong and Japan. So they just wave me through or something.

Don't buy an R4. They were great a couple of years ago when they were still being updated. Now you can't get it updated unless you use YSMENU which you have to compile yourself. It's not too difficult to do but it took me forever to get around the website to download the release (it's all in Japanese, and the engrish part of the site doesn't have a link to the latest build). Plus the sheer amount of chinese copies that are poor quality and barely even work aren't worth the hassle or the risk, since they use a different voltage than the official R4's do and you run the risk of burning out your DS. I've heard horror stories of the fake R4's simply melting in the cartridge slot.

Get a DSTT they're fast (less than a second to load most roms, add a second to create the save file for the first time) have better compatibility and are updated frequently, YSMENU is based on the TT firmware. Plus they're dirt cheap at just under $6, if you are concerned about not being able to write games to it, just get the on with the usb-microsd adaptor or buy a microsd with an SD adaptor and get a card reader for your PC. I paid £3 for mine and it reads 52 formats of card, i've never had an issue with it. If you need a USB card reader they're not much more expensive.

+2. If my Supercard DS ONE flashed to imitate a DSTT is any indication, this is a fantastic card. Very simple, but very reliable structure. The games always work, the saves arent shortened to 7 characters, the roms are alphabetical instead of write order, the load times are the fastest, many common game incompatibilities are cured (castlevania intro fmv skipping), and so on. My only issue is with the game specific cheat code for granting brightness adjustment on the fly doesn't work, probably because my card isn't a real DSTT. Also a lot of games will shut down instead of just sleep when closed, which again, is probably because its not a real DSTT.

Forgot to mention, DSTT's menu isn't the best, and above, I was referring to YSMENU for DSTT. It's the best.

Yeah, I couldn't do the brightness adjust on my R4 using YSMENU. It will work on the R4 firmware but fewer and fewer games are compatible with it these days.

The brightness adjust cheat does work on DSTT though.

Can't wait for my new DSTT + EZFLASH3IN1 to come from Dealextreme. I've bought two DSTT's and they've both come within 2 weeks from there. I was a bit wary of Dealextreme because of what i've heard about things taking ages to ship but as long as you don't buy anything heavy or expensive it should come pretty quickly because they usually blame customs holding your items up as the main cause of delays according to the DX forum.

That's where I got my stuff from. I've had mixed results using YSMENU to directly load GBA roms for the EZFlash 3-in-1. Again, this could be because I'm not using a true DSTT card. If you have issues with like half your GBA roms not working, use the GBA_EXP loader tool instead. It's much better about managing your two storage banks, your save files, and setting the 3-in-1 for use with the web browser if you like.

The rumble is terrible though. Its basically just a grinding noise. You wont be using it on any DS rumble games, like metroid pinball.

I'll take all of your advice and stay away from R4. I'm probably going to pick this up http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10289

The cheap price astounds me.

Yeah, that was the card I started with and still use (mostly filled it with games for my fiancee.) It is really hard to go wrong with the DSTT for the money...just get a 2gb-4gb microsd card and you're set for a looong time.
