They're very likely just using that as a way to draw people in when they search for Metal Gear. I mean, it is Kojima's most popular work. The game will, regardless of setting, have a tag-line that will read "FROM THE MAKER OF METAL GEAR SOLID!

Personally, I'd really like to see a new addition to the Zone of the Enders series, preferably on PS3. (It is the only console I have this gen, after all.)
I'd personally like to see SD Snatcher remade, with original Snatchers art style. SD Snatcher seemed like it was a good game, but SD just doesn't suit the content of Snatcher.
Oh yeah, I'm thinking it'll be called Metal Gear Solid 4: Supersistance. =P

I pray to god it isn't a remake of snatcher. Though I would certainly love another entry into the theme of game, like a psuedo sequel to policenauts (just as it is a psuedo sequel to snatcher). Which neither game is "post-apocolyptic". "Dystopian" is more along the lines of what you'd call it... a theme I love.
Though in the end it probably wouldn't pan out to well in my book because both Snatcher and Policenauts are "Graphic Adventure Videogames", a style of gameplay that only did well over a decade ago. I highly doubt Konami would allow the type of gameplay to be continued... and I wouldn't really want to play the game if it weren't done in that manner.
Furthermore, it'd be MUCH nicer to see the guy create a new sophisticated intellectual property. Anything he's created since Zone of the Enders has been relatively kiddy... nevermind the fact he hasn't created anything new in a while. Boktai? please.

I smell a horror game. Come on, scratched up edges of the picture? Creepy music? Creep fog? The impending sense of loneliness? Dead/dying trees? And a farm in the background that looks completely abandoned? It's a horror game. Gotta be. If it isn't, then I'll pretend to give everyone here $10.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.
It's Metal Gear Solid 5. Snake is even older now. He has retired and moved into a cottage on the countryside where he spends his days sitting on the porch, watching the clouds go by, and reflecting on his life.
Kojima's is one of the few video game developers that you know whatever he is making is going to be worth wait and will be excellent. I would rather have a slow and tediously developed and tested then have it rushed and come out as some mediocre or half assed game that no one will remember.
why rush something and do it half ass and have a forgotten game?
Do something slow and right and it came become immortal
