Sega bass fishing for dreamcast
Sega bass fishing for dreamcast
Are these games any good, I had a chance to pick up this game with the fishing controller for 15 bucks but opted to gamble and wait a week until it would be on sale at my local store.

Yeah they are fun... part 2 is more sim-like if I remember correct.
I have been keeping an eye out for a fishing rod too.

Go for it. I hate fishing games but the Sega Bass series is absolutely great and one of my favorite DC/Arcade games. Sega's Bass Fishing is to normal fishing games what NBA JAM TE is to normal sports games. Look for Bass fishing part 2 and Sega Marine Fishing, for more DC fishing goodness.

Bass fishing is alright, but Sega marine Fishing is an absolute blast once you get into it.

This. Bass Fishing is enjoyable for a short time but Marine Fishing is additive as hell, I played it every day for month or so when i got it, to unlock all the items.t0yrobo wrote:Bass fishing is alright, but Sega marine Fishing is an absolute blast once you get into it.

I enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing, but SBF2 was crazy difficult. I don't think I ever caught a fish in Sega Bass Fishing 2.
Never played Sega Marine Fishing, what's special about it?

You catch marlins instead of bass. It reminds me of the Hot-B fishing series for the NES. The first one was called Black Bass and set in lakes and then its sequel was called The Blue Marlin, which took place at sea. Anyway, I really enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing...especially with the fishing controller.Hatta wrote:I enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing, but SBF2 was crazy difficult. I find fishing too boring to do, but those games are excellent and will be enjoyed anyone who plays them.

Speaking of fishing games, I'm looking forward to see how this will turn out later in the year:

There's a video. The rod itself looks a lot nicer than even the Dreamcast rod. Hopefully the game is good as well.

Yeah, but will the 360 fishing rod let you play Soul Calibur and Virtua tennis with it too?
