What are your "comfort" games?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Solo:
1. Super Mario Bros 2 - my favorite of the series and the entire game just makes me smile.
2. RC ProAM - A family favorite that was a big part of my childhood.

With others:
1. Mario Kart 64 - My brothers and our friends played this more than we played Goldeneye, and I played alot of Goldeneye. Every corner I take reminds me of past games and good times with my brothers.
2. Team Fortress Classic - Takes me back to college and evenings of 12+ hour server logs. If only TF2 had concs...
3. Unreal Tournament 99 - Reminds me of playing it at my brothers college under his username and surprising all of his friends. And the shocked looks on their faces when we swapped seats after the match and they all thought he did it.

Rez is a good one. Other than that any game that I can get in the zone with but these can go either way cause if I suck they piss me off but if in the zone they rock so this is guitar hero, rock band, shmups racing games etc.

PC games-rpg variety can be fairly relaxing in a physical sense strategy games to. FPS can get heated with multiplayer

I can't really think of a more relaxing game than Flower.

Other than that, when I'm at a friends place and they get into some game I hate (Rock Band, often times), I'll often play Garou: Mark of the Wolves and Waku Waku 7 on NeoDS, or Pac-Man, Galaga, Mega Man 2 and Super Mario Bros on the NES DS emulator.

If you add rhythm games, that is EXACTLY my list. I've played through Mega Man X so many times I could do it in my sleep almost.
Yeah, I play X almost weekly, I think. I just get home, tired, and pop in Mega Man X Collection. In X4, I just go about trying different ways to complete each stage, using different weapons at different points.

I wish I could get into Mega Man 3 this way too, as I think it has really good level design. Unfortunately, the slowdown kills the game for me. When I play it, I just get angry.

That would require me to pay attention to people's signatures.
