Pics of the PS3 Slim?!

I hope for 300$ or cheaper but I dont care about (and dont think it will have) BC. Like I said, as long as they dont cut WiFi I dont think they will be putting out a bad machine.

Man... its been 2 and a half years plus and we are still talking about a possible 300 dollar PS3. Hopefully Sony learns from this for the future.

I'm skeptical of this.. I'll wait and see.. It really doesn't matter to me since I'm fine with my backwards-compatible 60GB PS3.. but I'm happy if others can get a PS3 hopefully cheaper and with backwards-compatibility one can hope..

Yeah, at this point, Sony could design the Slim to match the wood grain 2600, and I'd buy one just so long as they include BC.

Yeah, that is a bit too much to ask. Although, I recall someone saying they wouldn't buy a PS3 until it came down to $99, so really...

If you want a BC PS3... Craigslist. Craigslist. Craigslist. I have a friend who picked one up for $300, still in box and with Motorstorm, last year. I'm sure you'll have to pay at least as much for an old BC PS3 as you would for a new non-BC PS3 at this point, considering they are only getting rarer and rarer... but it's better to buy now. Like I said, they'll only be getting more expensive.

Or, ya know... you could say screw it and keep your PS2 hooked up. That's what I did. A BC PS3 ain't going to be able to play precious import PS2 games or backups. (Which made up probably 99% of my collection when I first got a PS3.)

Oh yeah... this has got to be fake. Or a knock-off. It just looks too freakin' hideous. Sony has made some god-awful decisions, but I don't think they've ever made a decision that bad before.

If anything, it looks like a prototype to me. I'm sure that development of a slim PS2 took a while to finalize, so even if there is no immediate announcement, this could be the start of the development of a PS3 slim.

Considering the PS1 (PSX) and PS2 got the "slim" treatment, it's only a matter of time before the PS3 gets a similar treatment.

That being said, don't count on it for at least another year... E3 2010 maybe?

The only reason I'm holding off on the 3 is cause money is low but even if they are real, It won't make me hold off even longer. I think the current 80 seems strong enough to hold on till the death of the console. Also, it looking that thing makes it look cheap... if I spend 300+ even the physical system better show where that cash went.

All I want in a PS3 redeisign is, (1) Matte Black finish (FUCK GLOSS), (2) Cooler running temperature, (3) Quieter running noise, (4) Fucking Backwards Compatibility, (5) Legacy ports (won't hold my breath).
