Simple, yet effective.

Not bad, though if you were going to use a talkbox I'd say the best way is to put on your own version of Frampton Comes Alive.

Nice audio work station! I have a MS2000 myself and love the bass and pads you can get with the thing. I actually just got rid of my M-Audio Delta card to upgrade to a PreSonus Firebox for both my desktop and laptop for live shows. Hows the JV synth?J T wrote:The computer room is not so minimal. I call it the spacestation:
Here's a close up where you can see the M-Audio Pro 88 keystation, the Roland JV-1010 synthesizer module, the M-Audio Delta Series sound card with external mixer, and also next to the monitor is an electronic yodelling pickle (which is rad).
And over here you can see the Korg MS2000 analog modeling synthesizer, the Behringer DX100 pro mixer, the Alesis airFX, and a microphone with tube hook up that stretches down into a Rocktron Banshee talkbox so I can sing like a robot in California Love.![]()

Sadly, no. There is only one disc in that box.Snickerd00dle wrote:great collection, is that nocturne the first printing with the soundtrack, i would hope so
Somehow the soundtrack got into my i-Tunes though. Not sure how that happened.

Thanks! I'm glad to see another music maker on here. The MS2000 is great isn't it? It was my first experience working with subtractive synthesis. Though I've installed several soft synths on my computer since then, the MS2000 is still my favorite. It kicks out some good sound and I just love having all those knobs so easily accessible. Great user interface.Unleaded Logic wrote: Nice audio work station! I have a MS2000 myself and love the bass and pads you can get with the thing. The JV-1010 is cool. I bought it ages ago. It's the first piece of gear I ever bought. The sounds are real pro. A lot of top producers were using this during the 1990s. I know LTJ Bukem had one, and I'm a fan of his work. I also recognize some of the more complex patches being used in people's music from time to time. Herbie Hancock used it on Future 2 Future and I think I've heard it in some of Goldie's stuff too. The downside to it is that it is hard to modify the sounds (though it is possible with some special program that I found to be rather cryptic) and you can only add new sounds by swapping hardware circuit boards in only 1 available slot. Nevertheless, there are over 1000 patches and they sound way better than your average sample kit.

I'm surprised nobody commented on the fact that I have a semifinalist sticker pass from the Nintendo World Champs. Didn't anybody else here compete in that? I know I've seen people talk about the rare NES World Champ cartridges with the dipswitch on them.

Oh fine, fine... "the sticker is rad, dude!". There, happy? I even used early 90's slang just for you!J T wrote:I'm surprised nobody commented on the fact that I have a semifinalist sticker pass from the Nintendo World Champs. But actually, I didn't have internet access at the time so I only knew what I read in magazines and apparently I didn't read the right one since I never heard of the competition back then.
Gotta say though, that's an over-all really neat gaming setup you have--literally.

Your 90's era slang is appreciated.

Are those bookshelves you have your PS2 games on? Because they look great, and I've been looking for a good way to display my games.

No, the shelves are recessed into the sides of the TV stand that you can see in the first picture. They are wood though, so they kind of look like bookshelves.
