Pics of the PS3 Slim?!

Post by HellHammer »

Found this a few minutes ago. I'm excited. As a pretty recent PS3 adopter this news, if true, is a little bittersweet though.

Anyway, LINK

Looks kinda cool... But also looks like something out of a Twilight Zone episode.

I'm not so sure. All we see here is a plastic shell.

I'm not too sure about this, I've been waiting for sony to drop the price and offer a slim model before I get one, but this still looks huge. It just looks like a skinny version of the regular ps3, instead of a shrunken down version like the ps1 and ps2.

I dont ever like console redesigns (not counting color changes) for some reason (Except Genesis, I am not sure which I like more asthetically.) Oh and the PSP 2000 series and DS lite are way better than the Fat ones. Seriously, I liked the original NES, SNES, SMS, GBA(damn lack of backlight sucked though,) PS1 and PS2. Saturns are too close to really have too much of a different opinion, but I think i like the oval buttons more by a hair. 3DO? FZ1 model please. 2600 and InTV? Gotta love the wood look.

As far as the PS3, if it is real, I am not sure how I feel about it. If they can make the damn thing afforable to normal humans though, then I am all for whatever they do... As long as they keep WiFi, which at the moment is the only thing holding me up from getting a 360.

Woah woah. Backup. PS3 has wifi support? I had no idea. Every time my friend brings his PS3 over, I've been giving it my PC's ethernet cord.

would it be too much to hope for the slim to be completely backward compatible and only cost 300 dollars?
