SNES Verts

Post by Ack »

Hey guys, I've picked up a couple of shooters on the SNES, stuff like Super RType and U.N. Squadron, but these have all been horis. I was wondering, are there very many verts on the Super Nintendo?

Axelay and Space Megaforce were the only two I was aware of. While looking into shoot 'em ups in general, I must admit that I was surprised by how few quality shmups the SNES offered.

Imperium is another vert.....not a great one I'll add...but kinda fun.

Space Megaforce is the best I've played on the system and worth the higher price tag. Axelay has good vert levels....but they are extremely difficult.

Strike Gunner STG is a god-aweful repatitave terrible excuse for a game. Wow this whole level is a forest....and whats next....oh a desert! how fun.

It's "god aweful"?

As in so good that god would be in awe of such a fun shooter?
