Looking for a good TV
Re: Looking for a good TV
Oh, I agree on that point. For me, I was never hardcore enough on the fighting games to notice a few frames of animation, and the only rhythm game I play on the TV is Rock Band, which has fantastic calibration. On my old TV there was some noticable lag when I was playing Paper Mario, but on my current TV I've experienced no problems.

Re: Looking for a good TV
My current 50" Samsung DLP LED HDTV works perfect for old consoles..
It has a game mode which helps..
The only thing I can't use are lights guns but CRT TV will handle that for old consoles..
Also, it has been fine for me in regards to rhythm like GH, Rock Band and good for fighting games..

No not the games, I was asking about the TV. Do the Sony Wega flat CRTs display actual progressive scan?" I guess it would probably depend on the model.enderfall wrote:Yes, Xbox games that are progressive scan are marked "480p" on the box. PS2 games say "Progressive" on the back. Gamecube games say "Progressive Scan Compatible". Note, it is the game, and not the system that dictates whether it is progressive or not.nateup2 wrote:Do they support progressive scan? I knew they have component imputs (2d non-prog scan ps2 games look AMAZING) but didnt know they actually had prog scan.
really?
