Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'm not convinced that the video was trying to get me to believe that I was watching actual gameplay. Perhaps they were aware that it might convince some people - some people are gullible. But I'm not convinced they were overly concerned with trying to convince anyone that what we were seeing is what we'd get. I don't think many developers are. And I'm not sure how that implies my illiteracy, or anyone else's. At no point was I confused about whether we came to the same conclusion - only that I don't see why you were considering any other conclusion.

Okay, so it's advertising- it's supposed to instill a feeling of anticipation for whatever you feel is represented in the video, like a fast-moving character, realistic setting, etc. So yeah, it's manipulative but when is art/advertising not? Either the game experience will be satisfying or it won't- I don't think it really matters how accurate the video clip is to actual gameplay (eventually it will come out and everyone will see what it looks like!!) and I don't care if the graphics aren't outstanding anyway. So someone calls bullshit- when the game is released it'll be settled.

Wow this looks awesome! How did I not know about this game before. Jumping+climbing games are my favorite. if thats what you would call them.

Wait did they make this for n64? That girl looks familiar. Maybe I did know about it.

No. The original Beyond Good and Evil was a PS2, GCN, Xbox, and PC release.

That's what we're arguing. The concept for the game is real enough (it's been announced) but this appears to be a target video.

LOL at the Destructoid vid.
