It had a very fucking presentation? I must have missed that part. Anyway, it really didn't look like they were implying gameplay in any way, especially insofar as the shaky hand-cam and oblique camera angles (so as not to give a decent view of where she's going), the jumps to ledges not even noticeable until she's in mid air, and her getting whisked away in the final seconds. It's advertising - not supposed gameplay.

You can't be serious. You're just trolling. Good job. You almost had me. Any idiot can look at this clip and form the connections between this kind of gameplay and something like Assassin's Creed. This is not a cinematic camera. It's a video game camera. Learn the difference.

The only reason I insist that this isn't realtime, is because of the animations transitioning too perfectly for any current console to produce, and the subtle motion blur is too impressive.

all i can really hope for is that they dont stray too far from what was good with the original, i dont care if they dont add a bunch of stuff, but for them not to loose sight of the first one, because it was just so damn good

You're touchy. You're Mozgus!

That there are connections to other games doesn't touch on a single point I made. Assassin's Creed nor Mirror's Edge or any other games don't play THAT well. The character knew exactly where they were going without the slightest hesitation, oblique camera angles would have made it hard for any player who DOESN'T know exactly where they're going to head in the right direction, and she even jumps on ledges that aren't shown until she's jumping. Are we assuming that they'd show gameplay footage of a speed run?

Games of the last five years, if not the last decade, have learned to stray away from distinguishing "cinematics" from gameplay. A "cinematic" camera and a "gameplay" camera are often the same things, in order to blur the line. It's how they're used that makes players ooh and ahh.

Actually, to my eyes, the camera IS the dead give-away. Yes, it's behind the character, but it is too cinematic for me to believe it's real time. You can't see where she's going through much of it. You can't play a game like that. Either way I agree it ain't no gameplay. It's target video.

We're all using the same arguments, but for different subjects. We all agree then that this isn't realtime graphics. Good, that's obvious. But it should also be obvious to everyone that this video is trying to convince you that this is what the game will play like, and not simply serve as a viral video. It's probably just a draft example of what they're going for.

I agree with moz on this.

It's not that this is pretending to be definitive gameplay video (if it were, then where the fuck is the game???). It's portraying an example of what to expect for the game, with a lot of exagerration attached to it. It is known people eat this shit up and say it's legite... demo video at console releases is prime example of it!

Don't tell me they aren't sitting around making this video saying, "noooo, no one will think this is what to expect for gameplay, this is just for hoohas!"

Seems I always can rely on you to check my sanity, right before everyone else around here makes me question it.

Don't want to get into the middle of this but when I watched it I just assumed it was a cut scene. Don't bite my head off Mozgus, just thought I'd give my two cents.
