Same here. I'm glad Neil and Peter collaborated on something after the Halo movie dropped production.

This looks like it could go either way, could be great or could just utterly fail during execution. I'm interested though and will be waiting for more information.
Re: district 9 ?? what do you think
I think this is really cool. I watched Neil's short films a year or so ago and I think it's exciting to see his work done as a feature length high budget feature.

That's looks really cool.
Now all I have for info is the trailer... but from what I can tell I like the premise of the plot line.
Instead of the usual: oppressive evil aliens come to wipe out/enslave the human race and a hero steps forward to save the world...
it's: aliens accidently come down, we capture them to take their technology, and them blame them for our misconduct... how human of us.
If done correctly I think it could be a really neat introspection on the inherant prejudices in humankind. Kind of Bradbury-esque.

Yeah I found those, I merely was commenting after the initial view of the trailer. I'll definitely be checking the film out. I enjoy these viral advertised movies a bit. It's like this weird ying-yang/love-hate relationship with it. I'm totally disgusted by the tons of people who freely allow themselves to be used as a marketing tool at no cost... but I admire the wit and intelligence of the artist for effectively getting a community to consume their artistic view.johnnydoyle123 wrote:they have a hole like group of websites telling the story like blogs and there is a video of youtube of people protesting to let the aliens be at peacelordofduct wrote:That's looks really cool.

Think Duchamp meets Coca-Cola.
Maybe the nature of my interest in the film really has nothing to do with the film actually. And instead more with the nature of people's reactions to the grotesque masquerades put on by entertainers in this modern day.
This forum actually being a prime example. Our own little temple to the false idol of videogames. Do you really think I hang out here for the videogames?????
