Chill.

I don't advocate any of that, but you have to realize that unless you go out and do something (I'm assuming you're over 18 and can fully participate in the gov. i.e. voting, etc...) then things like this will still happen, however rarely (if ever) they do.
I'm not trying to attack you, merely have a discussion. To offend is not my intent.

I didn't fucking say that. Learn to read. Ziggy587 caught it.

I just want to take this opportunity to, once again, suggest that the mods might want to create an off-topic (non-gaming related) forum. Take any OT post from the whatever forum (from the past month) and move it there - mods would only need to worry about moving older posts if/when they get resurrected.

Whatever IS the off-topic section. So, no to that.

 I dont know what hes talking about but... I think 5 pages of responses qualifies as a lot of interest and much of it has been in support of the original posters opinion.

All he wanted to do was spark discussion, which he very successfully did... it was only a few (geniuses) that were like "duh I dont know why we would talk about it in a game forume or "uhh why just talk about it?" or whatever other dumbass reasons for him to not have started the discussion.

good times :P

Once again child, I said he'd find little support here. This thread could be 40 pages long, but he'd still technically have no support, because neither he or anyone else here have the power to do anything about this "issue". We can talk about whatever the hell we want in this section, but a thread on a fucking video game forum is not a substitute for a massive protest march or whatever else it is the hippy-types do.

That was all I was saying. I mean, Jesus, haven't I proven myself to be the mod that lets any subject fly? I'm sure I've locked the fewest number of threads.

You do a great job as mod Moz, and I agree you lock very few threads - so props for that.

Quite frequently, when someone starts a thread about politics, religion, etc. - or raises some controversial opinion - a member or two will interject with comments like "hey let's keep this to a discussion of games". I agree that in spirit the Whatever forum is OT from all the other forums listed, but most of the topics here are about games/gaming and not other aspects of life. Most of these game-related topics do indeed belong in this forum instead of in one of the other gaming-related forums, so that isn't a problem. But having a distinct and separate forum for non-gaming related posts would probably garner more discussion on some of these OT threads, without fear of censure or of breaching decorum.
