Cross Platform Discussion - Six Generations and Counting

Post by h8b1llg8ts »

Generation 1 - Atari, Colecovision, Intelivision

Generation 2 - NES and Masters System

Generation 3 - SNES and Genesis

Generation 4 - N64, Saturn, Playstation

Generation 5 - Gamecube, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Xbox

Generation 6 - Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360

Due to the variety of ages across the board here many of us have come into gaming within different generations. So which generation did you first come into play? Or is there an obscure system like the 3DO that you put down $700 on and never recovered from, let us know.

Me, myself, my dad introduced me into gaming with his Atari 2600. But my first system was the NES so I came into gaming within Generation 2.

Started with my cousins 7800 and family's Adam Colecovision. But really took off with my brothers NES.

I started with an NES, got a genesis later on. But the bug never really got me until I found an Intellivision at a thrift store years later. "What, you mean video games existed before 1985?!"

Real men play PC games

I started with a 486 back in the 90s. I have photos playing Warcraft and Simcity as a three year old XD

it all started for me with my dad's Tandyvision (Radio Shack's version of the ColecoVision), and from there went to generation 2, with the NES. I remember playing on the small tv, mario bros/duckhunt, gotcha!, and excitebike.

Back in the good 'ol days. 8)
