Last year I heard about a brand new Tokyo Xtreme Racer game being in development and that it had been released in early access on Steam. I don't really game on PC, but found it was in development for the PS5. Well, I found out that a couple of days ago that it actually got its final release back in February for PC and PS5. I had no idea! So I picked up a physical version which arrived today. It's only came out digitally in the West, but the Japanese physical version supports multiple languages including English, so I bought it.

I also recently picked up Front Mission: Gun Hazard for the Super Famicom. I am getting into the SNES at the moment and really enjoying digging more into the Japanese library.

I added Sigma Star Saga for the Nintendo GameBoy Advance this evening!

Every July 1st, in honor of the mid-year and my friend's Birthday, I allow him the opportunity to guide my Backlog. He is allowed to choose one game for me to buy, one for me to beat and one game for me to complete. For the new game to buy, he chose Sigma Star Saga on the GameBoy Advance. This is a game that he has played before that looks very interesting. It looks kind of like a mixture of a Shooter along with a Zelda style Action-RPG. It reminds me heavily of The Guardian Legend, which is another game I own, but I have not played yet. I am very excited for Sigma Star Saga as I think it will be a unique and interesting game.

A big month for lots of my collections this month. I added a whopping 6 Game & Watches, bringing my total to 17 out of 63. Very happy to have been able to pick up all 3 of the Multi Vs. releases, as well as getting a bargain price on 2 of the 5 total silver series games. I also managed to expand my Wide screen series set by another entry too.

Seperately, I also added the last major Virtual Boy release I wanted with Jack Bros. My copy is Japanese because it's about £1000 cheaper that way - and there's actually a cheat code you can enter on the title screen that makes the whole game run in English anyway! I also picked up Pokémon Mini, which is my 8th game for the system out of a total 10 available - I'm keen to try and get the last 2 soon. And I added one more amiibo to my collection there too, the new Diana amiibo that was released alongside Pragmata.

I'm starting to try and catch up on some recent Switch 2 releases as well, with Indiana Jones and Star Fox this month.

...I'm just finally getting around to catching up w/pickups from June, after a pretty quiet May it was nice to add some nice additions to the collection.

...I actually grabbed Final Fantasy X|X2 in May after b/c hearing that the story was pretty interesting. My family really came through on Father's Day w/everything else there, the Super Pocket should come in handy when traveling and I was very surprised to receive Astro Bot and Blasphemous II.

...I didn't go crazy at TooManyGames this year, but it was very cool to finally find a very clean copy of Landstalker in addition to some modern titles I had missed out on from the limited print usual subjects.

...I was looking for a copy of Journey at TooManyGames, but never found one. Thankfully a local shop came through, plus I was able to grab a copy of The Adventures of Elliot before all 20 of the XSX copies sold out :lol:

Since getting my new HP Victus gaming laptop, which is easily the most powerful PC I've ever owned, I've been going ham on sales over at Fanatical and Steam.

My new laptop might even be my go-to for third-party gaming... though first I'm gonna have to upgrade my RAM and SSD. A measly 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage just won't do.

A handful of games I've snagged include:

* Doom (2016)
* Bioshock trilogy
* Borderlands GOTY Enhanced Edition
* Funko Fusion
* Robocop: Rogue City (already own it on PS5), though it'll definitely need more RAM
* Mafia Trilogy
* Dead by Daylight, which on stock hardware runs decently, though even on low settings I'm still getting a handful of stutters and lags. Thank God I was only playing with bots
* Injustice 2 (already have the first game)
* Aven Colony
* Just Cause 3
* Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

It's been another slow few months for me, as I missed out on some games I was interested in, but I did come across a few things in May and June! Also, a lot of great games posted lately, always cool to see what everyone's picked up recently.

Shining Force: Sword of Hajya (GG) - As a big Shining Force fan, I had been looking out for a decent copy of this game CIB for a number of years. Very glad to finally come across it! Next step will be to get a modded Game Gear so I can enjoy this one.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition (SNES) - The gameplay footage I saw of this game was pretty intriguing, as the graphics looked great for the SNES. I had a chance to already beat and review the single player mode and I really liked this one!

Goof Troop (SNES) - Another title that's been on my wishlist for a while, but I was having a hard time finding it in nice shape. Luckily, I managed to come across a clean copy of this one. I haven't played too far into it, but hoping to dive deeper later in the year!
