I picked up Metroid Samus Returns for the 3DS and V-Rally 3 for the Game Boy Advance.

I am really enjoying Metroid games right now, particularly the 2D ones, and I have never played either the original Metroid 2 or Samus Returns before.

So far, it's ok. It's obvious the team went on to do much better things with Dread, but this is still pretty decent.

A big month in April for new pickups. More amiibo for the collection to start.

This month I picked up a large selection of Gamecube games from someone who was selling a full set, aiming to fill in the final few gaps on my 'big wants' list for the system, as well as a few games that were on the maybe pile. Gamecube is a system I'm close to having all of my most wanted games for now - it'll be good to tick one of the list so I can narrow my focus a bit. N64 is another candidate for that soon.

Someone else was clearing out some of their Wii games for cheap, so I picked up some of those too. Hoping Wii Music might be entertaining for my 2 year old as a first game for her to try out.

Lastly, one modern game purchase with Pragmata. Maybe one day I'll actually have time to play it

I added The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition for the Sony Playstation 3 this afternoon!

I have a cousin who currently works in the video game industry. I like to support him in my own special way by buying games that he has worked on. One of his prominent games was that he worked for Telltale with the Walking Dead games. He was very proud of the work he did on them. The interesting thing is that I have like negative interest in the survival zombie genre, but I kept hearing praise about the game. So, now that I have the means, I figured it was the effort to give it a short.

I am actually replaying this right now! (albeit on the Switch) It's one of my favourite games of all time. It's really cool that your cousin actually worked on it.

I know what you mean about zombie games and I am kind of burnt out by them, but to me, The Walking Dead is so much more than just another zombie game. It's about the characters and the choices you make throughout the game for me. I love the story of Lee and Clementine

My first two purchases in May are Taito Legends 2 for the Xbox and X-Men Mutant Apocalypse for the SNES (cart only).

Taito Legends 2 is a fantastic compilation of arcade classics from Taito. The emulation and sounds seems to be great and the Xbox version is apparently superior to the PS2 version, as it was developed by a different team who did a much better job with the emulation.

X-Men Mutant Apocalypse is a game I have wanted forever, but it is impossible to find a UKV PAL copy here for some reason. Finally a loose cart came up for sale for a reasonable price, due to some wear on the cartridge label and I jumped on the opportunity to finally own it.
