GC & PS2 VGA cable recommendations please:

What the best available for each system?
Are they 100% compatible with all games etc ...

They should only be compatable with progressive scan games, that is, unless you plan to use it on an HDTV. Then, it will be fully compatable.

Look up your favorite games in this list. If a game doesn't support 480p, 720p, or 1080i, then the VGA cable will most likely not display the signal. Gamecube games are more often progressive scan than PS2 games are.

Hmm.. I see.

I just don't get why some games (esp post-DC) are not developed for VGA. It just doesn't make sense.

DC natively supported it in it's hardware. But the vast...VAST majority of DC owners simply never made use of that feature.

Well, they technically are developed to be capable of VGA output (since they can use RGB and pro-scan), it's just that software developers chose not to implement it. Also, VGA has never been thought of as a screen for games, considering in developer offices they usually use RGB monitors for testing the output and all that junk. Not for testing of course, since that would be very expensive.
