I've been meaning to take some photos and post an update in this thread and finally got around to it!
The few games I came across in January. Overall, this was a slower month for me, as I was feeling under the weather for most of the month.
Alundra (PS1) - Came across it in really good shape with the map included, so I went for it. This game's been on my wishlist for a while as I'm a fan of action-adventure games and Climax Entertainment. Interested in experiencing their take on the genre.
Dungeons and Dragons Collection (SAT) - I initially tried the digital version of this game on the XBox 360 years ago and I've wanted to try the Saturn port for quite some time. With this title being mentioned in the Together Retro thread recently, I thought it'd be a good time to give it a go.
A few Genesis games I pre-ordered last year arrived in February. I haven't gotten around to trying these just yet, but when I'm in the mood to get punished by some shmups, I'll fire them up.
Undeadline (GEN) - This game was originally released as a JP only title and was a rare and pricey import cartridge to pick up. I was pretty surprised to see it get a US re release, but there have been a good amount of games getting these types of releases in recent years.
Slap Fight MD (GEN) - Another title that had been only released in JP and Korea. The JP Mega Drive release was limited as well and the US version was initially canceled. Cool to see the game appear on the system all these years later and looking forward to checking it out.
Grind Stormer (GEN) - I had been interested in this one for quite some years but I was hesitant to buy the original US version of the game due to it being released on a Tengen cart. I already learned my lesson with Tengen Genesis carts, as my Gauntlet IV cart didn't work, until Ziggy repaired it (thanks Zig). I was surprised to see a new release for this one!
Here are the games I got throughout March so far. Both games that have been on my wishlist for quite some time.
Final Fight 2 (SNES) - As a beat 'em up fan, I've been meaning to get this cart for a number of years, but I hadn't come across it in good shape. Glad to finally have this one and complete the Final Fight trilogy on SNES! Curious about how others feel about this one.
Shadow Hearts (PS2) - I played through Koudelka on the PS1 last year and loved it. The graphics, battle system, and soundtrack all did it for me, so I was really interested in checking out it's successor, Shadow Hearts. I've only heard good things and can't wait to dive into this one. I will probably fire this one up in the fall, close to Halloween.
