The important things are:
Fixed vanish/doom
Fixed the evade bug (evade and m.evade now work properly)
Added a bonus dungeon you can access on a clear save
Four extra Magicite you can get before fighting Kefka

Yeah, sorry I wasn't of much help. I never played the original.

Vanish/Doom was never a big deal, since you had to be conciously exploiting the bug. But the evasion/m.evade bug was pretty bad. In essence, on the SNES all attacks were checked against the m.evade numbers. This included physical attacks, which is why darkness never mattered. Darkness would give a bonus to the evade of a monster, but you didn't care about that number. As a result, if you got to 128 m.evade (the max) you would dodge/block ALL attacks that were dodgable or blockable, which included most magic.
You can still make the invincible character in FF6A, due to the best equipment buffing both numbers equally, but it becomes harder to outfit more than one person in that way (due to requiring hte aformentioned best equipment). But I remember as a kid not being able to figure out why my Beads weren't helping any.

He might just be the first person not to mention 6 as well. How anyone could pick 8 over 6 is beyond me.dlmvii wrote:WHAT. WHAT?gennss wrote:my opinion.

To each his own, I guess.

Hmm, this is a tough choice, but in order top to bottom:
VII
VI
XII
IV
X
VIII (grinding through now, but man the (love) story is crap so far and they couldn't even bother to make a new soundtrack? it's like 75% ported from VII!!!)
Can't judge I, II, III, or V as I haven't played them (yet

If you have/can get the first one on PS1, it doesn't take too long to play through which is actually one of the things I like most about it. I also have a guide that's only 3 (I think) pages long that will take you through the game in a breeze, if you want.
