Just finished The Count of Monte Cristo (2024).
Wow! It is so, so good. It’s entirely in French - true to the source material! - but I really have not seen a movie that good in a very long time. It’s almost three hours long, but you will not want it to end. I really cannot recommend it highly enough.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

This was really good, maybe not as good as the actual John Wick movies, but a great action movie that doesn't stray much from the usual John Wick formula. The action is a bit more grounded though than recent John Wick movies, as our main character Eve is not quite as deadly as Baba Yaga. Some people might appreciate that.
It never ceases to amaze me the kind of fun, creative action set pieces they keep coming up with in these movies
I think this is the last screen appearance of Lance Reddick, which I thought was the case in John Wick 4 but we see him here again.

Watched this with my mom, aunt, uncle and three eldest nieces.
All three girls chose it over the other movies I brought (Phantasm, Return of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead Part II, Sleepaway Camp and the original Dawn of the Dead).

it is a Zack Snyder sci fi action movie
its alright but there is a RIDICULOUS amount of slow motion in it.

Back on Tuesday I decided to revisit one of my favorite Italian zombie films:

I HIGHLY recommend it if you love zombies and/or incredulous amounts of goopy gore.

Found this among the free films on YouTube.

First heard about this animated cult classic via a Phantom Strider video of all places. And some time ago, I scored the 4K Blu-ray from Deaf Crocodile, which only has the original German dub.
When a cat named Francis moves to a new town with his owner, he and another cat named Bluebeard are drawn into a string of murders tied to a religious cult of cats devoted to the what's basically a means to revert cats back to their primal forms via eugenics and murder.

More sleaze and more cheese than Demon Knight, but definitely the lesser of the two. Though I wouldn't say no to Dead by Daylight DLC based on both, especially if Billy Zane and Angie Everhart can come back to provide lines for The Collector and Lilith, respectively.

Scored the 4K Blu-ray box set yesterday and decided to pop in the first one before bed.
