...I think April was a little light, but I think I did alright. Silhouette Mirage was an unexpected find and I'm glad to finally have my hands on the Suikoden Remasters and Metaphor.

Usually try to avoid bumping this thread at all, but I do enjoy seeing people grabbing the Suikoden 1&2 Remasters. Silhouette Mirage on the Saturn is also a pretty sweet game. Did you find it locally? It looks like it's in pretty nice shape.

...I remember watching friends in college play through the first Suikoden and also someone else on a forum I was on raving about the series. As a Saturn owner back in the day, that version wouldn't work since I can't read Japanese, so these remasters are very much appreciated. As for Silhouette Mirage, yep, I found it locally at eStarland. I was looking for Clair Obscur, which unfortunately was sold out, but a clean copy of Silhouette Mirage is something I had to jump on. I passed on a copy years ago during the pandemic at another local game shop and had been kicking myself for it ever since.

That's awesome you made it to eStarland! Would really like to try to make it over there sometime when I'm in VA. Silhouette Mirage is one I'd like to try to track down as well, but I've been debating between the PS1 and Saturn version.

That's too bad you didn't have any luck with Clair Obscur. I'm hoping it gets a restock soon, as it seems to be sold out at most stores. I believe it's unavailable at both the local shops near me as well.

Ah, yeah the original Suikoden was kind of popular with people in my middle school, and I had a Saturn at the time, but got a Playstation almost entirely for the purpose of playing Suikoden. I've since played the Saturn version, which is kind of cool, with a few bonus features, but from what I've heard the remaster used the PSP release as a base which didn't have any of the Saturn version extras.

They did have Kawano update her character portrait panels for the remaster which is pretty nice. I think of the originals as kind of iconic now (including bronze-man Lepant), but updated portraits are nice.

Silhouette Mirage is also one that is on my list to get at some stage. I do kind of want to pick up every single Treasure game. I don't know if I will ever achieve that and it's not a hard goal I am actively trying to achieve (nor am I aiming to get every different version or port of their games, or necessarily hoping to have them all be complete), but it is there in the back of my mind.

Word.
I think that's fairly common in these circles. It's at least 90% of the reason I have Dragon Drive D-Masters Shot on Gamecube, which despite owning for 5+ years I just realized from actually looking up some information on it today that it's a 3D rail-ish shooter (that I need to play), and it has an opening theme from the anime in the game that I had picked up randomly from somewhere back in the day and listened to a lot in high school (still goes pretty hard).

I've collected most of their catalog at this point, but have never really been interested in owning physical handheld games, and actually got rid of Gunstar Super Heroes recently. Over the years I've also basically resigned myself to the fact I'm not getting Yu Yu Hakusho, Alien Soldier, or Rakugaki Showtime, but if I grabbed Silpheed and Bleach (Wii), I'd have all of their other home console releases in some form.

I have a good chunk of their games collected already too. I have Yu Yu Hakusho and Alien Soldier, but it might be a while before I manage go pick up some of the other more expensive ones. Fortunately I picked up Alien Soldier about 10 years ago before the price really went over the top.

I recently picked up a few PS2 games and a PS1 game. Gitaroo Man is the main one I got that I have been after, as that game always looked really interesting to me. Unfortunately I suck at rhythm games (I am one of those people who if I mess up even once, just a little bit, then I completely lose my rhythm and I may as well just give up).
