I've started my third rewatch of Duncanville. Why this got cancelled, I'll never understand.
I've also started the sitcom Mid-Century Modern, which I'm having a hard time getting into. It's not a bad show, far from it. It's pretty funny and has its LMFAO moments. I like it, but I don't LIKE like it, if that makes sense. I'm definitely gonna keep watching it. The cast clearly has great chemistry and it's a pretty funny show.
If you haven't heard of it, it's kind of like The Golden Girls but with three older gay men and one of the men's brash, no-nonsense mother. Anyway, after the passing of their friend, one of the friends (Bunny, played by Nathan Lane) invites his other two friends to live with him.
So what have you guys been watching lately?

Started Rick & Morty, the pilot was a lot of fun
Watched Code 8, decent sci fi movie. Now I'm watching the sequel
I watched all three seasons of Ducktales (2017). The series finale is a mixed bag and there are a few things here and there in the show that I didn't like and the occasional episode that didn't click with me, but overall, I think it's one of the finest reboots ever made and as good as, if not better than the original show. The good outweighs the bad significantly with good, better takes on some characters than the old 80s show, and writing that is consistently surprising and hilarious. I don't know how well the original show holds up for an adult audience versus the kids many of us were when we originally watched it, but this new one had me laughing and smiling constantly. Like I literally didn't even realize how much my face was smiling while watching this until someone pointed it out to me. It's just a really fun show for all ages. Classic characters like Magica DeSpell, Flintheart Glomgold, Donald Duck, and Gizmo Duck really shine as well as some new characters and even certain minor characters really stay with you even if you only really see them in one episode. I've no doubt this reboot's version of Webby probably has a lot of fans as well.
I think it's actually kind of sad that it was cancelled and that this creative team didn't get to work on some other Disney properties. The show itself already had episodes that felt like back door pilots for Darkwing Duck, and possibly even TailSpin (though set some years in the future compared to the original show's timeline). There's a real passion on display in this show for the Disney cartoons of the 80s and 90s and Disney should have put these people to work on a new Darkwing Duck show at the very least. Ducktales 2017 is going on my list of all time great cartoons. It's that good. One of the best things I have watched recently and we are lucky to live in a universe that has TWO great DuckTales shows.

So, I'm all caught up on Rick and Morty and honestly, the show became a chore to watch after season 3. They need to cancel this show. It never evolves in any way. and the show clearly peaked early. It also has one of the most detestable cast of characters I've ever seen. It was okay in the first couple of seasons because at least the show was keeping me entertained with laughs, but the more I watched it the more I just hated everyone, especially Rick and Summer, the two most obnoxious characters. Funny enough, the most likable character is the one the show constantly pokes fun at, Jerry. He's the nice guy in a show full of selfish, narcissistic, arrogant, sociopathic characters who really all should be locked up in a prison.
Futurama/South Park > Rick and Morty.

It was renewed for 100 episodes, but that was years ago and I can't remember how many of those have aired already. Given the fact that the show rolls out a new season every 1-2 years, I'd imagine it has more than half that left.
Personally, I'm more upset over Solar Opposites getting only one more season of ten episodes before it ends. It seems like with countless side plots going on outside of the main story, I don't see how they'll be able to bring everything to a satisfying end with only ten episodes. Maybe if the final episode leads to a finale movie.

Recently finished a second watch-through of Mid-Century Modern. Still good and I hope it gets a second season. From what I've heard, it did pretty well with viewers and critics.
Also finished my Duncanville watch-through and started a third watch-through of Bless the Harts. Started the second (and last) season this morning before work. It's so funny that I can't understand why it didn't get a third season.
And I just started the Dark Phoenix saga on my second watch-through of X-Men: The Animated Series, or third if you count when it was on Hulu. Once I finish it, I plan on rewatching X-Men '97.
I hope that when we get the X-Men in the MCU, they model it more on the style and vibe the X-Men had in the '90s. The live-action X-Men movies failed HARD in that regard. As movies that just so happened to have superheroes, the first one was at best a good movie and at worst devoid of any action set-pieces. Hell, there was barely enough for just one level of a video game adaptation.

There are two other X-Men cartoons that look interesting beside 97. Wolverine and the X-Men and one from 2011 that was animated by the Japanese studio that worked on Castlevania
By the way, have you guys ever seen the Japanese intros for X-Men: The Animated Series. This one is great

Of those two, I've only seen Wolverine and the X-Men.
As for the Japanese X-Men intros, I've seen them and the tracks Ambience are some of my favorite Japanese-language songs.

Neat show, kind of dark like Squid Game, though this show's even darker. Some aspects of the show are a little absurd but the story is compelling enough to give it a pass. The show explores religion a lot, kind of in a negative light, if that bothers anyone reading this. I have a religious background but don't find the show offensive. No one can deny that historically a lot of bad stuff has happened due to religion.
