I hope Cassidy wins the title just to piss off all of the Cassidy haters.

In all seriousness, I want him to, but also feel they held off too long and didn't build him up enough. Wish they had done more this year to get him over again and fully get the audience behind him.

AEW's booking is too stop start.

It doesn't matter if it is Vince or HHH. WWE will never change.

Now. Then. Forever.

Why? I didn't see anything particularly wild. Hadn't heard of him until I heard this story though, but from what I gather he is a journalist who has broken wrestling stories before with some degree of accuracy. I wouldn't say that all journalists can necessarily be trusted, particularly ones who report on wrestling gossip and inside information, but at least it isn't just some random person.

Anyways, I have no idea what AEW is doing at the moment. They are proper going through some kind of bizarre identity crisis. How many times are they going to promise a reset, a new era and to 'restore the feeling' and then do absolutely nothing that backs up those words?

How can they be so ice cold and how can the feuds and stories be so boring? I don't get it.

The Adam Cole and MJF story last year was probably their hottest story they had all year. How the hell do they mess it up?

Where the fuck is Okada?

The Moxley/Deathriders/BCC storyline WAS the most interesting thing they had going on in ages and then, once again, they drop the ball in the EXACT same way they always do with these villainous faction storylines, by making their motivations vague nonsense about not liking what AEW has become and needing to restore some kind of order, lacking any kind of real stakes or heat and being entirely unconvincing in trying to portray the faction as "taking over". Moxley has basically been regurgitating the same promo week in week out for 6 or 7 weeks now. He just mumbles utter nonsense.

And stop trying to get the company over. Nobody cares about "the spirit of AEW" or whatever anymore. Get wrestlers over, not the fucking company.

Why are their some lame Tiktokers, 90% of their audience has never heard of, who are probably more popular amongst young kids than the 18-35 demographic they are supposed to be targeting, being heavily promoted on Dynamite and Full Gear? That's some WWE like shit. Not just any kind of WWE shit either, but Vince McMahon like shit.

Ugh someone do something. Anything. Who is writing this shit now? What happened to the return to sports based presentation they mentioned?

Please get Chris Jericho off television already.

It just feels like no one is over anymore in AEW.

MJF was their biggest star. And now it has all dissipated.

Look at Adam Cole too. He got a huge pop when he returned last month. Now look at him. No one gives a fuck anymore. You can hear a pin drop during Dynamite when he's on.

Ospreay came in with so much hype and momentum. He arguably is still the most over person in AEW, but he has lost a lot of that interest. People who like Ospreay want to see him going for the world title. Not wasting his time with Kyle Fletcher and the Don Callis family.

And for a company that claims it is "where the best wrestle", where are the great matches then? Because it's been a hell of long time since I watched Dynamite and saw a genuinely great television match. It's like watching WWE, with everything being false finishes, run ins and silly angles.

It seems it's not a question of if, but when Christian will be world champion.

I have no idea if the ending to Full Gear was great or an overbooked mess, because I didn't actually watch it. I read some reviews and saw a few clips. If they can actually make the world title picture (or literally anything) interesting again though, that would be great. On paper it sounded interesting how they weaved all these stories and personal beefs together for the end segment.

Christian, Hangman Page, Jay White, Orange Cassidy etc are all names that I have mentioned as people who I want in that main event picture fighting for the title.

Otherwise it seems like not a lot happened at Full Gear. The match outcomes all went the predictable route, except for Kyle Fletcher going over Ospreay. That said I did wonder if they would go that route, since it seems they are trying to build Kyle Fletcher up and treat him more seriously.

No idea what they are doing with MJF, Cole and the Undisputed Kingdom or what this story is supposed to be.

Kamille turning on Mercedes is so obvious I wish they would just get on with it already. Same with the Acclaimed splitting up. Speaking of Mercedes, I hear her and Statlander put on one of the best AEW women's matches of the year. That's cool. It's just a shame their feud was boring and that it's hard to care about Statlander after they pointlessly turned her heel and then pointlessly turned her face again a few months later.

Oh and I did watch Zero Hour. The matches were all surprisingly decent considering it was the pre-match. I liked all the matches. Deonna Purrazzo and Anna Jay did a good job. The 4 Way match with Buddy Matthews was great. Buddy was massively over with the crowd...? Hopefully he gets a push leading into Grand Slam in Australia.

I have no fucking idea what a Rizzler or Costco Guys are, but apparently the crowd loved them? :?: Anyways the match was fine.
