I added Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii this afternoon.

My friend who purchased Eiyuden Chronicles for me asked that we play together. With that in mind, I came up with the idea that he would also suggest a game for me to buy and for me to replay. So, he chose for me to purchase Xenoblade Chronicles, which is a game that I was close to buying it for myself. It is the last game in the Project Rainfall series. Hopefully, I will get to it soon, but I am very excited to finally own it.

...TooManyGames was a blast as always, I think the con gets better every year. It was definitely much appreciated that they let attendees sit in the air-conditioned panel spaces instead of baking in the sun. Getting to watch classic episodes of Captain N, The Legend of Zelda, and The Super Mario Bros Super Show was a very fun time. I think I did alright for pickups, the goal was to not go crazy w/SEGE being the following weekend. I was surprised to come across the Raiden variant I learned about here and a clean copy of R-Type is always welcome in my collection, it's a really good port all things considered. The SMS magnets were just really cool imo and the guy had a pretty good deal on them so I grabbed a few of my favorites, now I just have to figure out what to do w/them

Nice pick-up, Markies! I've always been attracted to the aesthetic of this game. The sci-fi atmosphere seems to be in my wheelhouse, but I've been hesitating to jump in due to the amount of hours it takes to finish it. Will be interested to hear your perspective on the game when the time comes.

Awesome to see that Raiden Trad variant! Haven't seen it in person actually. Looks like you came away with a nice haul from TMG. Also, when I first glanced at your photo, I wasn't sure what the Master System items were at the bottom of the image. I thought maybe they were manuals. Lol. I'm curious to hear about how you end up using the magnets.

I got a few things this month. The first 3 games were some cheap pick-ups from a local retro toy shop, and Hatsune Miku VR was from Limited Run's clearance sale.

The big purchases for me this month were the quartet of big ticket PS1 games. I'm pretty excited to sit down and play all of these. Sharing a pic of them here too:

Nice pick-ups, AJ! Wasn't familiar with Gungage or Mr. Domino and had to look those up. Gungage in particular looks like a game I'd enjoy. It's too bad we didn't get that one in the States.

Just wanted to share my June pick-ups! Got a few of the Genesis games from pierrot, so thanks to him for the smooth transaction. Also, a pre-order I placed last year arrived, which was a nice surprise.

NHL '94 (GEN) - I'm not a huge sports game fan, but enjoyed playing this one at a friend's back in the day.

X-Men (GEN) - I traded my childhood copy of X-Men into Funcoland back in the day, and purchased a rough copy a few years ago. This is a nice upgrade, and I'll most likely give my other copy to a buddy of mine whose also into Genesis but doesn't have this one.

Golden Axe III (GEN) - I'm a big fan of the series and while the third entry on the Genesis doesn't get much love, I really enjoy it. As a huge fan of beat 'em ups, this is a grail for me!

Eliminate Down (GEN) - This is a JP only shmup that received a re-release. Great to see some additional hard to find or pricier Genesis games get another printing. I can tell it's gonna take me some practice before I'm able to clear this one.

Pilotwings (SNES) - I've played this at my cousin's when first released. It'll be an interesting change of pace from the games I usually play.

Parasite Eve (PS1) - Used to watch my buddy play this one when it came out and thought the atmosphere was great. Glad to finally have a copy and it's a bonus that it's a shorter game. Aiming to play this in the fall.

Castle Crashers Remastered (NSW) - Castle Crashers is the first co-op video game my partner and I played, so it's a special game for us. I was glad to see it rereleased on the Switch and looking forward to going through it again!
