Toy Collectors- Do you still play with your toys?

I caved and bought Megatron directly from the company's website. He's only 50 bucks! Unless you buy from some douchebag on ebay, which I don't recommend. I might pre order Prime too. These are really just disassembled action figures from what I've seen rather than true model kits, which is awesome. I bought a model kit for something once, and while it looked nice, it was a PAIN to put together. I've always wanted a nice looking Megatron and I love all things G1 Transformers

EDIT: Some awesome looking, newer action figures in this guy's video:

I bought one model kit once during the first lockdown. It was fun to put together, but fiddly. I put one piece on the wrong part and ended up breaking part of it trying to get it off

I hadn't built a model in ages, but one weekend recently I fished out a Boba Fett kit that had been sitting in my closet for ages. I had a genuine blast putting it together, and when it was finished, it looked really great. Kits have come a long way since those awkward, brittle Gundams I used to build in high school. I feel like I'd like to do some more, cost and time allowing.

I think this is Lego for a lot of people. "I want to build something complicated with a lot of parts but I don't want fiddly points of failure that will derail me." That's Lego for adults.

Got my Megatron, haven't gotten him out of the box yet though. There is a crazy amount of Generation One inspired Transformer toys coming out lately. I feel like I jumped in a time machine and went back to the 80s between the classic toys getting re-released or remixed in some way and newer toys that are more accurate to the G1 cartoons than anything we actually had in the 80s. I just wish my wallet could handle all of this stuff

EDIT: Oh and I forgot, we're in the future now. So we're getting stuff that feels like REAL Transformers:

The only "toys" I have are my five Funko Pops. My oldest one is "Harley Quinn with Mallet", my most recent is the Shantae Pop they made around the release of Half-Genie Hero and I also have a few Power Rangers Pops: Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd and unmasked Billy Cranston. And I would not DARE remove them from the packaging.

If I had the cash and room, I'd like to snag a lot of the old '90s toys I either grew up with or wanted but never got. Mostly the Power Rangers Megazords. I had the Shogun Megazord but my then 2-3yo brother broke the red one and the helmet got lost. I also had Ninjor and a few of those playsets that looked like the Morphers and then you open them up and the inside is like a little playset that came with a small Ranger and villain figure.
