CrossFire?
CrossFire?
It's one of the few free multiplayer FPS's out there.. Anyone a regular? Are cheaters a big problem? Do I need more than ten minutes a day (my usual playing time on ZDaemon) enough to upgrade kit?

Yes, I'm a regular. I've only been playing for about a month now so I'm definitely not a pro or anything. Cheaters are not a big problem at all. Although every once in a while(Maybe 1 out of every 30ish games) you will find someone who hax to make their character move very fast or to give them a weapon that doesn't exist in the game(Such as an M4A1 with a Silencer). As for playing only ten minutes a day. I don't know what bizzaro world you've been playing games on where ten minutes is a valid amount of time to progress a large amount, but an average match lasts roughly 12 minutes.Pulsar_t wrote:It's one of the few free multiplayer FPS's out there.. All in all, I recommend this game greatly to anyone who is a FPS fan. If you're use to games like Halo or Call of Duty where all the guns have pin-point accuracy up to a million miles away, you might be disappointed. The guns in this game have very "realistic" recoil that makes long range spray-and-pray virtually impossible. You automatically start off the game with an M-16 and a sniper rifle(I forgot it's name), as well as $50,000. Don't be tempted to go and buy a cool looking gun right away. You should definitely play a few games with just your starting M-16 until you get use to the recoil/aim/RoF shenanigans. After you've gotten thoroughly bored of the M-16, and you think you're skilled enough to upgrade, I suggest going with something that's easy to control like the M4A1, MP5 or MP7. Also, I have never used this gun but I hear that the K1 is also pretty good for beginners.
Hope you enjoy.

Re: CrossFire?
Well this is a nicely done CS clone but tbh I was done with CS years ago.. Basic gear suited me fine but I won't spend too much time playing it. At least it's free!

Yeah, I hadn't heard of the FPS before, but now plan to check it out. Looks like an FPS that you can play a few quick games
online and then you're good.
