I think there’s a strong argument that self-identified “gamers” are far worse.

Yeah, people said the same the last time I said this about wrestling fans in this forum

Maybe I just don't pay enough attention to what other gamers are doing or talking about, but I never really noticed much. I guess there is lot of toxic individuals though. All the childish review bombing stuff and people abusing devs on Twitter, that I read about sometimes, is horrible. Maybe it's just a social media issue.

Anyways, courtesy of Dave Meltzer, apparently WWE is already turning this Cody thing into an angle and is ready to change plans again. That's why we have had some WWE stars tweeting out support for Cody, which is all part of the storyline now.

Rossy being gone from Stardom will be weird. He's on every big show handing out championships and trophies to the match winners. You can't ever look at photos from an event without seeing him in a few of them. He was part of a storyline between two girls some months ago too.

Some are reporting that Kairi going back to WWE is connected to this, and some are even saying he might start his own company (again) and take some of the Stardom girls with him including possibly Giulia.

This will likely have an effect on Stardom's international activities. He was known to be uneasy about working with American companies. I thought AEW would be the exception, but now it's clear that Tony Kahn wasn't a fan of his and maybe the feeling was mutual.

Tam Nakano is back. I wonder how she feels about all this. I can't believe she was gone for a few short months and had to vacate the title. Roman Reigns could be gone for half a year and they wouldn't strip him of the title.

This Cody thing is nauseating. I'm definitely gonna be focusing more on AEW than WWE going forward. All this Cody love just makes me

I think that both of them have a deeply seated tribalism that makes them insufferable. Same with hardcore sports fans.

You can't just enjoy the product, but you have to fight against the people that enjoy the same thing you do.

People I feel bad for right now:

WWE should have had LA Knight enter the Rumble and win it, then challenge Seth Rollins for his title. Then they could have had Cody find some way to get a match with Roman to make all of his lame fans happy.

There would be no negativity right now had they gone this route and you'd have people hyped up for all your world title matches including Bayley/Iyo and presumably Rhea Rhipley/Becky Lynch.

Mania makes bank selling tons of tickets/PPVs and then TKO could have still gotten what they wanted by having Roman beat Cody CLEAN with no interference from the Bloodline and then start up a Roman/Rock feud the following night on Raw. Cody would drop to the mid card where he belongs and no one would say shit about it because Roman beat him clean. WWE fans are fickle, once Cody lost they'd forget about him and move on

I haven't been watching, but I really doubt The Rock is gassed from walking down the ringway. It is certainly possible that his conditioning isn't where it should be.

I'm really just making this comment to say that I have occasionally seen his workout videos. He goes hard, but he gives strong indications that he has knee problems. His lower body movements tend to use a truncated range of motion.

I was exaggerating, but I doubt the match would be anything other than rubbish. The Rock seems less mobile than Triple H was in the final quarter of his career and those Triple H matches were awful.

In AEW news (well this is old now), Tony has one of his silly big announcements this Wednesday (do they really get a ratings increase from these? Is he just trolling/winding up people who don't like his "huge announcements"?). Some eagle eyed fans have noticed though that the March 13th episode of Dynamite has no venue location advertised, despite episodes leading up to it and after it having locations confirmed. So people think the announcement is going to be that the episode will be airing live from Boston, with Mercedes receiving the 'First Dance' treatment.

It makes sense to me.

I just remembered Ospreay will be debuting this month too.

Rossy Ogawa is starting a new promotion! Allegedly several women from STARDOM have already expressed interest in joining his new company.

Yeah, kind of makes me wish a certain idiot who uses Twitter too much didn't stick his foot in his mouth

Anyway, The Rock's daughter who I think is the NXT General Manager for some reason is getting death threats from Cody Rhodes fans now. I don't think Daniel Bryan fans in 2014 were this nasty and immature. They directed their anger at WWE, not individual people. The Yes Movement, while a result of fans being kind of pissed off, was still sort of a fun thing. It was fun to watch it play out. This Cody backlash though feels...wrong. It's disturbing and a bit embarrassing
