Happened to me two days ago. Taking clothes out of the washer my glasses fell off & split in half.
I was really happy to find that I could just pop the lenses out of my old frame and put my current lenses into it.
What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Got sick again.
I was just sick in November with a head cold. This time it's that thing from 2020 that shall not be named, which seems to be going around right now. I spent the last two days completely incapacitated. Today is the first day that I have enough strength to sit at the computer. I was barely able to sleep, but I felt so horrible I couldn't even really watch TV. I still feel pretty crappy, but at least I'm over the worst of it now.

I hate getting sick. Granted I hardly ever get sick, but while that sounds like a boon, the inverse is that when I do get sick it's practically crippling.
Last time I got royally sick, save for a seasonal thing, was back in fall 2018. Thankfully it was mostly just coughs and congestion, but since this is basically what my seasonal head colds are like, I didn't expect being so sick that I literally had to call out sick.
Worst time I got sick was when I was in high school and I literally was too sick to go to school for eight days.
Get well soon, Ziggy587.

I also have been sick since Saturday. I don't have what you have, but I have the Cold/Flu that is going around with yours.Ziggy587 wrote:Got sick again.I was just sick in November with a head cold. Sunday/Monday, I couldn't stop coughing.
Tuesday/Wednesday, my nose wouldn't stop running.
Today, I feel a bit more normal, but it is still early. Here's hoping that I am finally turning the corner.

Thanks, Repo.
Ugh, yeah, this crap always hits me hard. This is at least the fourth time I've had it. The first 24-48 hours are the worst. It starts with a soar throat, like every time I get sick. But then I get slammed with a wicked fever, way worse than any other time I've been sick. Taking Tylenol and Advil barely takes the edge off. I get severe body aches to the point that I can't even sleep. And I feel like my skin and my eyes are on fire. The first night I slept (or tried to) with an ice pack on my neck the entire night. At least I'm past the worst of it, now I just feel like crap.
I know it takes about a week before I feel well enough to rejoin normal life.
Hope you feel better soon, Markies!

When I had Covid I took some flu meds. I think there's like a nyquil brand day/night flu pill box. It made me feel half-way cognizant again.**

I'm a big fan of DayQuil/NyQuil. I have the "severe" combo that I've been taking. Those first 24-48 hours that I mentioned, I also took Advil 2 hours off set from the Day/NyQuil. I had to space out the middle of the day because the labels say not to take more than 4 doses in 24 hours, and fevers are always worse at night.

Yeah, DayQuil and NyQuil are the best medicines for me. Dayquil dries me up, so at least everything stops for a while. Nyquil puts me to sleep, no matter what. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without NyQuil. It knocks me out and I always feel better the next day after a long sleep.

Ziggy and Markies, sorry to hear you both are sick. Hope you two feel better soon!
Also, to SamuraiMegas, I hope the rest of your year goes better man.

Hey, shot in the dark but I'm toying around with an idea for a Power Rangers/Saved by the Bell crossover and I'm gauging interests.
It's mostly reimagining the events of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, specifically Day of the Dumpster and the Green with Evil arc while also focusing on events shortly after the former and prior to the latter and ending with an epilogue set one year after the end of Green with Evil.
In this timeline, Zordon recruits from Bayside High circa '93, which would have been around the time the main characters were in their senior year (which ironically gives me more leeway with referencing past events in the series). Granted I might be taking some liberties with both source materials and possibly go from the same overall vibe but slowly go a bit darker.
Like in the main timeline, Rita Repulsa is freed after 10,000 years of imprisonment in a space dumpster and begins a reign of terror against the Earth. When an earthquake hits, Zordon is alerted to the presence of his old nemesis. But unlike the main timeline, the events between Rita's release and attack is set in the world of Saved by the Bell. Charming yet narcissistic Zach Morris goes on his usual fourth-wall-breaking monologues (here stylized in italics to separate it from the normal third-person omniscient narration) but soon an earthquake hits and in the chaos his friends disappear. As it turns out, Zordon has chosen A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Samuel "Screech" Powers, Lisa Turtle and Jessi Spano as his new Power Rangers, with Jessi as the Red Ranger (I named-dropped them in the order they'll morph based on the same order as the series: Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Saber-Toothed Tiger and Tyrannosaurus). From there, it's basically just Day of the Dumpster. Initially, the five reject Zordon's offer until being ambushed by Putties and hopefully you know the rest.
From there, we get a montage-like epilogue of how being Rangers changes their lives and how Zach, in yet another fourth-wall break, notices something different.
Eventually Zach finds out his friends are the Rangers, though by this point he's found himself on the outs with them, and this leads to the beginning of the Green With Evil arc. We're also introduced to Tori from the final season of SbtB, with her and Zach being considered by Rita and her minions as possible candidates for the Green Ranger powers.
When he outlasts Tori in Rita's Putty ambush, Zach is taken by Rita. Unlike Tommy Oliver in the main timeline, Zach lacks the discipline and martial arts prowess that the main timeline's Green Ranger uses to establish himself as the Ranger's first major threat. Also unlike Tommy, a now full-villain Zach Morris formulates a way more devastating plan for Rita's forces to carry out against Bayside while he lays siege to the Command Center, like Tommy did in the main timeline. But while that's happening, the Rangers are forced to split up to take on separate assaults from several Putty squads spread throughout the city, ending with Jessi and Slater contending with a giant Goldar and a giant monster on opposite sides of Bayside while the remaining three help to evacuate Bayside High and its Putty infestation.
I won't be going any further with the synopsis but I will say that it WILL get darker from here, with a shocking climax and an epilogue that ends on a much higher note that leaves things open-ended.
So... what does everyone think? I know I should stop coming up with new projects to pursue given how I've got TONS of unstarted projects on the backburner, especially one that's fanfiction in lieu of a more original idea that I could self-publish and make money on. But other than THAT... does it sound like an interesting idea? Bad idea? Middle of the road?
