What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Oh, well, in that case...

Joke all you want but the RGB30 isn't just a handheld. It supports HDMI output and Bluetooth controllers. And God knows how many games I'm thinking about putting on this would be a lot of fun at a sleepover. Plus, who knows? The girls might give game design on the Pico-8 a try. I'll probably have to throw in a cheap-o keyboard and mouse, though.

Anything that keeps them off of Tiktok.

I wasn't bashing the RGB30. I thought you were making a joke about the modded Playstation Classics because of course your nieces and nephews will enjoy a gift that you actually give to them more than the gift that you spend a lot of effort on but is still stashed under your bed two years later.

This is, of course, putting aside questions about these nieces' and nephews' interest in old video games.

Edited later for grammar.

Oh. In that case it's no big deal.

But seriously I'll probably finish the PSCs and give one to my brother. I'll either give the second one to my uncle or wait to turn it into an arcade cabinet.

Speaking from experience as someone who has moved twice with a full-size arcade cabinet, a Playstation Classic is a lot easier to toss in a bag or send through the mail.

 Alarm didn't go off and instead of waking up at 6am, I woke up at 7:20... twenty minutes AFTER I was supposed to be at my morning job.

:) Thankfully it was slow enough for my manager to let me leave a bit early, especially since I skipped breakfast and have to work noon to six at my other job.

:D And after work I'll be popping over to the twins' grandparents house to give Mario and Luigi their presents, which includes a bunch of DC animated movies on DVD, two punching bags, a couple of Nerf guns, a couple of Transformers, and a ton of Ninja Turtles toys. Turns out Playmates put out recreations of the old TMNT toys from when yours truly was a kid so I snagged a four-pack of Ninja Turtles figures, a four pack of villain figures and the Ninja Turtles Party Wagon. I also got a four-pack of skateboarding Ninja Turtle toys and a skate park play set.

And tomorrow I'll be hanging out with my mom and her boss for Christmas breakfast and then Christmas dinner with my uncle.

So it turned out that after work yesterday the twins had to go up to their mom's so I wasn't able to watch them open their presents. But their dad's sending videos of them opening their presents. And Christmas dinner at my uncle's didn't happen but I hung out with my mom and her boss and boss's family all day.

:D Had a FABULOUS time with my nieces Peach and Daisy and my nephew Link. I gave them their Christmas presents, which for the girls included the first two Hack/Slash omnibuses and the first two volumes of the Dark Horse Tales from the Crypt omnibuses, along with several DVDs (Pretty in Pink, Clueless, Carrie, Return of the Living Dead and Night of the Comet, to name a few) and a few cookbooks written by some well-known cooking YouTubers (Nerdy Nummies, Feast of Fiction and Bingeing with Babish). Link got a few books (including Dragons Love Tacos, Mickey Mouse's Dracula and The Hungry Hungry Catepillar), some toys (including a blue My First Flybar pogo stick) and some board games. I also got a stocking for him and filled it with toys, books, a Spider-Man coloring book and crayons that apparently smell like Froot Loops. He had a blast playing Yahtzee Jr (Spidey and his Amazing Friends Edition), Don't Break the Ice and Chutes and Ladders (Spider-Man Edition). In fact he was playing Don't Break the Ice with his sisters when I left.

God, the kids are growing up quick! The girls are like tiny adults half the time and Link is so talkative. Not to mention rambunctious. Poor little guy was bouncing on his Flybar and bounced on one of his toys I got him and fell back and landed on his backside.

And before you ask... I'm still working on the RGB30s. I just added some metadata for the movies I put on there and I'm currently working on filling out the PS1 games. Still debating on whether to throw in some DS and PSP games. Plus I have to finish testing a few N64, Saturn and Dreamcast games. But I did order some HDMI cables to go with them.

We weren’t going to ask, but it’s interesting that you think we will.
