What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Fake names. Just like how my nieces aren't named after the ladies of the Super Mario franchise, the toddlers aren't named after the main and title characters from Legend of Zelda, my brother's exes aren't really Archie characters and IRL, Robyn isn't really named after the character she play in her college's production of Godspell.

Also, IRL my name is less of a reference to what Nathan Wallace did for a living and more of a reference to a noted giant slayer.

I figured. You're an open book about everything you never know. I really haven't paid attention to the names before now.

REPO, I understand you're frustrated and want to vent, but this latest vent is too much information about other people, anonymized or not. You are oversharing information and events involving other people directly and you only indirectly to a level that is problematic. We don't want to, and shouldn't, know the details. You can express that there are family issues preventing you from having the movie nights you want, but the level of detail you're going into is problematic because it's all details about other people, especially where kids and custody issues are involved. This should apply to everyone here, and not just REPO. Make sure to be very circumspect with what you share about others who are not you.

:D My mom's going to be making Thanksgiving dinner after all. Again, I would but... no stove. Or room for other people.

:) Decided that in lieu of Super Pocket units for the kids, I'm getting the girls each a PowKitty RGB30 (the last purchase for the girls) and something else TBD for the boys (probably some Ninja Turtles action figures and some Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures). I'm gonna snag some 512gb microSD cards and load the RGB30s with retro gaming goodness, alongside some Doom mods, Pico 8 games and various ports. I hope the Freedom Planet port works on it.

FYI I got them from GoGameGeek which is doing a 15% off sale, from which I save 60 bucks, or 15 from each Pay in 4 payment.

:D Today was the last day of Pie Week at my morning job, which means I don't have to wake up at 5am for the foreseeable future.

 From Saturday until Thanksgiving Day that meant six days in a row of waking up at 5am to work 6am-noon, except today which was until closing.

:D Had a FABULOUS time with my mom and her boss, as well as I think the latter's sister, at Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't even have room for pie, of which I couldn't decide whether to bring over a cookies and creme pie or a strawberry one (both Edward's brand), so I just bought both.

 Ironically, I ended up taking the strawberry pie home with a to-go plate.

:D My big present for the older girls touched down in NYC this morning, so I imagine they'll be here within the next week or two. Though as my mom pointed out...

 For reasons I won't overshare, Rosalina is out of the picture. She's alright but there's too much personal details there. So I'll basically have an extra RGB30 without a designated owner who I hope still considers me her Uncle Repo, irregardless of the fact that I'm neither brother to her mom or dad.

But I'll still hang onto her RGB30 and use it to test games on harder-to-emulate systems (Dreamcast, PSP, etc) and ports that may or may not struggle on such a lower-end device.

 Also, my mom showed me pictures of Paulina and Daisy and if I didn't know they were 13 and 11 respectively I'd SWEAR they were in high school. I just hope they have more sense than their dad did at that age. Worst thing I did at that age was watch South Park on the few chances where my parents wouldn't bust me for it.

But I hope my fellow Racketeers (or whatever we call ourselves) had an excellent Thanksgiving and/or Thursday.

:D My little brother is no longer "out of town"!

:D According to the tracking info I should be getting the RGB30s tomorrow...

:( But I'll have to wait until Tuesday to do anything with them because that's when I'll get the microSD cards for all the games.

 Apparently there's almost 300 native JELOS/ArkOS ports via Portmaster. And that doesn't count all the stuff still in development. Between that, emulation, Pico-8 and Doom mods this may end up better than the modded Playstation Classic consoles.

It's a high-five, and I know you like writing jokes and Saturday Night Live.

You made me laugh out loud, so I posted an SNL high five.
