Can you use a Master System Light Phaser on a Sega Genesis?

I just picked up a Sega Master System Light Gun for $3, and I was wondering if I could use it on my Genesis to play the likes of Snatcher.

Nope, sorry man I had high hopes it would work myself, but Snatcher (As well as 90% of all other Genesis lightgun games) is Justifier only.

Awh, that's a shame. Weirdly enough, the guy who shipped me my CDX included a Justifier Gun with it, but it didn't work.

Oh well, I guess I'll be content with Safari Hunt for now!

There are actually a handful of great light gun games for the Master System. They supported their gun more than Nintendo, actually.

Off the top of my head

Gangster town
Safari Hunt
Marksman shooting
Shooting gallery
Rescue mission <-- lots of fun!
Missile defense 3D (with the glasses)
