Question About Gamecube Component Cable

Post by lisalover1 »

I was thinking about buying a gamecube component cable, but in all the pictures I saw of it, there were no audio cables. Where do the audio cables go in a GC component setup?

You leave your existing composite cables plugged in to your gamecube and use the Red/White audio from those(Notice that you can ONLY use the component cables on the earlier model gamecubes that have 2 av ports).

Like so:

You still use the rca cable for audio, so you have both cords plugged in

Okay, thanks. One more thing; is the only thing improved with GC component cables the addition of Prograssive Scan?
