Suikoden II could be my favorite PS1 RPG out there. It is so good. I bought my copy for about $120 about 20 years ago and it was worth every penny!

The game does have a darker tone throughout it, but that makes the ending that much sweeter. Even though, Suikoden II is the much better game, I would say to play Suikoden I first. It's a great introduction to the series as everything built off of it and it really isn't that bad.

I actually played a good bit on PS4 a year or so ago. It's simple and dumb but pretty fun.

Glad to hear Suikoden II has the Markies' stamp of approval! I definitely plan to play the first game beforehand.

Was at a geek convention and got these. I did almost get Biker Mice from Mars too. I never heard of what it was before (a 90s tv show looking it up), cause wtf lol.

...Note, the Suikoden II, the Valis Collection, and Hyperstone Heist are all great additions. Pikmin 1+2 is on my list, I somehow missed Pikmin 2 back in the day, thanks for the reminder Elkin. I've heard Biker Mice From Mars is a fun racer, if you come across it again PretentiousHipster I would say grab it.

...on my end of things, September ended up being a bit more productive for collection acquisitions than I expected. I was able to catch a few sales at local shops, online, and even everyone's favorite blue and yellow big box retailer. Oddly enough I'm geeked to be able to play Star Control again, I had so much fun playing this as a kid. I just stumbled across Pang just searching for deals online, I had no idea a new Buster Bros game was a thing. PvZ is always fun and grabbed this copy so my kids could stop fighting over who gets to play it on someone's phone. Had I known it hit the DS back in the day I would have picked it up then.

My first game acquired for October is a digital game, specifically the Switch port Risky Woods. Kind of a weak way to start the month, but that’s OK. I’m sure I’ll acquire some more exciting games before Halloween.

I added Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball for the Microsoft XBOX this morning!

I have always been a big fan of the Dead Or Alive series. The fighting and countering system made them a bit more strategic than other fighting games. I had been slowly going through the series when I saw that the Volleyball off shoot would be coming up next. I was a little hesitant until I played it one night. After getting over the silliness of the entire game, I started to play a volleyball game and realized it was kind of fun. I played against somebody and the game became even more enjoyable. I am also not ashamed to admit that I liked some of the girls and watching them was a nice treat. I know who I am. So, I decided to pick up the game for myself and have myself a guilty pleasure!

I added Red Dead Revolver for the Microsoft XBOX this Evening!

After some testing, I could not get Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball to work on my XBOX. Apparently, the game is notorious for not working with particular drives and I guess I have the one that it is not compatible with. I was a little disappointed with that considering I wanted to play the game, but it was time to move on. So, I went down my XBOX list and decided to pick up Red Dead Revolver. I am very curious in Red Dead Redemption, which is the sequel, so I figured now would be a good time to play the first game in the series. I remember the game from back in the day and I am very curious to give it a try!

Some awesome pick-ups here, Syndicate. I've heard good things about Drainus, interested in picking up a copy of that. Also, Star Control is on my list to track down as well. I never played the original back in the day, but my cousins had Star Control II on 3DO, and I had a great time playing that.

Love to see some RE and The Quarry for Halloween season, Elk! I've wanted to play The Quarry too. Wasn't familiar with Devil in Me, but looks interesting.

Sorry to hear DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball didn't work on your console, Markies. I wasn't aware that some Xbox games didn't work on specific systems. Hope you enjoy Red Dead Revolver though!
